Did you look up Leanna Crawford, a song called still Waters, she said anxiety hates Psalm 23, check it out Beverly, I think you will enjoy it, I have prayed for you, sick family members, and I understand you've had to do some emergency watering, I prayed about that too, God bless you Beverly, I missed you yesterday, but I saw your short video

I did hear Leanna Crawford's song Still Waters, on one of your videos ~ I think it was a short, but I remember it was indeed awesome. I will have to listen to it again! Thank you for your prayers, brother Norm! That's really awesome! I was wondering if you all were still needing rain. I think you are in worse shape than we are, which is rather frightening. But what can we do? God is in control of the weather, so we all should pay attention! As sister Joyce said, He is preparing us a wedding feast! One day, we will be in His heaven, praising Him and singing Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty! And I am sure there will be living waters and green pastures all around us ~ as well as amazing colors and creatures and creations! Amen! Love you and God bless you!

Rose of Sharon is like something right out of heaven. Your area was on national news that heat cell that stayed over your area. I was worried about you. Our hummers come out after the sun goes over the house and the back is in shade. They fight over the feeder. I am glad you got out early. Before the heat gets worse. LOL Don't chase butterflies you will run into a gate. I was 6 and trying to catch a white butterfly and I ran smack into the iron gate. I had a black eye in my first grade picture. LOL We are praying for you mom and dad. They never stop being our parents. It is terrible for you up there. But we are used to it. I am sure folks in your area are not equipped for this kind of heat. Our early fall, late summer temps are in the 90's and we give thanks. God bless all those in the heat zone. Please Lord do not let the evil one take away people from your Hands. We are all in your Hands Lord. Keep us well until you gather your Bride for the wedding feast. In Jesus name we pray. Amen GBY Bev, I love you.

Oh were we on the news? How about that! ~ but not for a great reason, obviously! it is indeed frustrating after that really nice cooler weather we just had ~ to find ourselves back in the "bake zone." All I can do is hope to save them for one more day. Our chance for rain has gone up, thank goodness! I am definitely praying for rain again! After 20 inches in one month, you would have thought we would be okay, but the heat is shrinking the soil, at least it seems. I can pull rather large tree seedlings up with ease, with all the roots intact because the ground is almost like compete dust now. And I realize we are relatively blessed and much better off than most people on this earth. Yes, I think God is trying to tell us something! Get ready! Thank you for the prayers for my folks. I think they were doing better last evening, so hopefully they both got some good rest. Mom tries to cook too much and I'm afraid she wears herself out with that. But that's the way self-sufficient folks are! I will definitely watch out if I should feel frisky enough to chase a butterfly! I'll bet you had a hard time living that one down! If this was today, Social Services would be paying your family a visit, I'm sure to make sure you were okay! I love you, sister Joyce! God bless you for your prayers and thoughtfulness!

@@ATouchOfTheSun NOT in the 50's. There was NO child abuse laws. We were property according to the state. EVERYONE believed in spanking and NO ONE was accused to being too hard on their kids. My older sister who was like another mom to me said it defined me. I had a hard time with gauging distances. I got glasses for distance for 2 years. Then my vision corrected itself again. They told me it was because I flowered early. What a silly term. Anyway I developed early and it messed up my vision. Black eyes, skinned knees and no breaks until I was 10. I broke my little toe from wearing flip flops. I am a mess these days. But I don't run into fences anymore. There are so many larger targets! Hi Sis! I have a few of these unexpected "short" surprises in the garden I have been able to capture. Today turned out with no time in the A.M., for doing the Good News, since I had to emergency spot water, and taking some groceries to my folks, as they are both sick (probably Covid ~ yikes), and eating lunch with my BIL. Didn't find out about the positive test until after lunch ~ double yikes, as we just exposed X-numbers of people, including my BIL, who may go see our SIL the one we are praying for, an hour or so away. We visited my folks two days ago but we always try to maintain safety precautions. But it still could be very, very bad, with all the people involved. And when we got back after lunch and groceries for them, I had to do hummingbird feeders, and it is way too hot for the camera at this point. But I'm thankful I have a few shorts up my sleeve for emergencies! I'm sorry I'm rambling, sis ~ we are also trying to make decisions about repairing our fridge or get a new one, and dealing with all that craziness. How are you? Is it brutally hot out there?

@@ATouchOfTheSun We don't have anyone suffering from Covid here at all. This must have been targeted on the east coast. GA NC SC Al MO MS all have been having a covid like experience. I do NOT trust government talkers. I think they are leading us astray. You never know what kind of thing they are giving in these "vaxes". I pray you will not get it. I think it is too hot for a virus to live long here. We may get it later in the year or in Jan and Feb. That is when we are the coldest. But then we don't really have anyone who gets sick except the kids. I wish I could just forget the covid nonsense. 90% of those they reported died from Covid were found NOT TO BE covid after all. Does this make you wonder what this government or whatever force is behind it is really doing?

I would probably like no snow! And for sure, I would like no ice! But I can't take the extreme heat and humidity, at least as far as working outside in it; I just melt. God bless you for your beautiful devotional thoughts, to make us sing hallelujah! God bless you, sis, for your loving words about our Creator! Praise Him! Yes, I have giant purple hyssop, but that one was struggling, but doing its best. I saw it leaning outward beside the other Rose of Sharon, trying to get attention! They are all, indeed, gifts from God! The 2nd Rose of Sharon is getting a lot of buds on it, so we will see if it makes it. I am hoping it will be all pink ~ it will be a surprise! The first one is definitely the most prolific I have ever seen ~ and I actually kind of like the white and red blooms! I was wrong about the Monarch ~ did I mention it yesterday? I'm sorry if I'm repeating this, but it was a female. Since a lot of the milkweed didn't make it, I hope we don't have to watch caterpillars starve to death, which is likely what will happen. I had so much of the milkweed last year, at least 50 plants, probably much more. But this year, it feels like 95% didn't make it; not sure why, but we had 22-degree temps for about a week. The swamp milkweed is looking okay. I can transfer the "cats" to those once they get big enough if the eggs are successful, but that is severely limited, too. I'm so glad you have the hummingbird moths, too. They seem to be disappearing, so maybe they just went where it is better for them. You are too kind and thoughtful, sis! I hope to be here a long time, but we could all be on a road to heaven in a flash! What would you "miss" about your earthly life? That is not really a fair question, given we don't know what heaven is like! But if you can't take it with you, but you enjoy it here, what would you miss? Love you and God bless you!

The mourning cloak is a large and easy to identify because it doesn’t have any look-a-likes. They are dark brown/maroon with thickly banded cream-colored edges. I knew you would! I can feel it just like in church, too ~ what a blessing! That means so much to me ~ thank you, sis! I love you and God bless you! I have seen a Mourning Cloak butterfly, I believe, one time in the 32 years we have been here. It was an awesome looking butterfly! The purple and blue butterflies are hard to specifically ID, in that the differences are a row of this that or the other. I am not sure what mine are, but I should dig in and try to figure it out! I was mistaken in that the Monarch was a female ~ so there could be caterpillars, but I hope not so many there is not enough food. Maybe she knew how many to lay on each plant. They can lay something like 500 to 800 eggs, but there is so much going against them (including ending up with no food), parasitic wasps and flies, parasites from the milkweed, and even bacterial things. It is incredible that any make it. My eldest daughter has a shortage of milkweed this year, too. She lives a bit further south, about 8 miles. I know she will see her first one soon, if she hasn't already. She is really good with the whole process; the first year she even tagged them. I think that was her first and last year of doing that! The Viceroys are almost as beautiful as the monarch. I am saying it with you angel. Bev do you have Crohn's disease? My sister died from that and a hole in her esophagus. There is another side to that. What if we are made to watch those who are going to hell and they get to ask, why didn't you tell me? I don't want anyone on my conscience. I don't save anyone. My Lord Jesus does. He is the only person in the universe who can save anyone. But if we don't speak out and try to open His Word to the world, and maybe someone said they are so atheist. But I pray for those unsaved souls to be moved. God helped them. But they don't know it. Remember it took up a whole chapter in Genesis on how Adam named every creature. Now did he name the insects and the snakes? That blue and brown butterfly is so pretty! I love your garden. Neither of us are guilty of NOT performing the Great Commission. Telling the world about Jesus Christ. How wonderful it is to pray and KNOW He is listening. Our nephew Dan has type 1 diabetes and he is losing his toes. Yesterday they amputated his big toe and little toe on his left foot. Please keep him in your prayers. He is only in his late 40's and it is NOT under control. You have an amazing point there, looking at us and asking why didn't we tell them. I have never thought about it that way. But surely, with media all around, they would have heard from somebody. Although ... I don't think a devotion channel is as popular as many others. But the Bible App has a counter, looks just like the national debt going up, of people signing up all over the world, signing up for Bible studies, including some with others if they chose. It's really uplifting to see! It has a world map that lights up wherever this occurs. It is amazing and God must be pleased; at least I would think so! I will certainly keep your nephew in my prayers. It is a horrible disease. My sister-in-law was found unresponsive by my hubby's brother the first part of April. Her sugar was over 600. She had 2 IV poles with 15 bags on each one and had to be put on a ventilator for 3 weeks, then down to a trach. She is semi-conscious ~ not sure how to describe it. But she pulled the stomach feeding tube and trach out a few weeks ago, as she was agitated, which required surgery and a procedure to get her going again. It is not good. My BIL is doing so good, trying to hang in there, but he is still trying to work and driving to the facility she is now at, which is about an hour each way (which is actually a blessing it is not double that). They had no living will, and that decision is not one my BIL feels he can make on her behalf. The docs keep pushing him, he says. It is a horrible situation. My daughter (monarch one), 's father-in-law lost a toe a year or so ago to diabetes. God, we pray You will offer up a cure, lead the right people to discover it, and we can get people healed up and working for You again! We pray You will have mercy on the ones already so desperately affected, and You will have compassion for them and their families, and You will make a way through the valley of the shadow of death and despair. We love You, Lord! We praise Your Holy Name and thank You for all our blessings! Amen!

I don't have those, but I have had terrible stomach issues all my life; greatly improved when my hubby suggested going GF for one day. I can still remember waiting for the "it" to hit as usual, and it didn't ~ a miracle! Since that day, Aug 19, 2012, I have been healing, getting better. I went to church online first this morning. "NATURE" is given the glory of things God made. God made everything. We have the beauty of God's word and His love. All the things in this world did not just happen by accidents of nature. I think you need more faith in science than anything else. To think our world just happened. Quantum physics has actually proved that the universe was created by Divine Intelligence. They do not call it God but it is. Psalm 22 is what Jesus cried out on the Cross. Despite His pain and suffering, HE still asked God to forgive them. God has some reason for allowing me to live this long. He has a purpose I have yet to fulfill. When that happens then He will take me home. He knows we are ready for Him to take us Home to Heaven with Him. Psalm 22 was prophetic of Jesus death on the Cross. A type. We learn more and more every time we read the Bible. Have a blessed day Bev. God bless and keep you and yours. I love you my dearest sister. J

What is cool? I do not remember cool. Oh yeah like it is here in Feb. You have lovely birdsong and the crickets chirruping. God is in control of where things hit. But free will goes to weather. We do things that make the climate change. Our garbage is killing the oceans. In the 70's when fuel prices rose people did what was natural and made sense. Drive smaller cars that get better gas. Now gas is $4 a gallon, and people drive huge pickup trucks, large SUV's. They are gas guzzlers. So what do we do. We get an old crazy guy in the white house trying to make us without a billion dollars, to get electric cars. There are few places to recharge the battery, at least here. There were 4 charging places at the hotel we stayed at. Only one car used the charger in the entire week we were there. Bev I could listen to you forever. My legs are back. Oh I'm so glad you get to see Ellie!!! That is totally awesome! I hope her home life has stabilized some ~ that is a heartbreaking situation, for sure. Yes, we can do a lot to help out the climate ~ I think one thing we have to do is to learn to live with less conveniences, less packaging, and dredge and/or unclog our rivers (and streams if practical). Planting trees to replace the ones chopped down for new shopping centers (do we really need them now?!) is a must, though small ones don't make up for the whole forest that is now gone and will never again be there. The bugs and such are definitely the canary in the coal mine. There is a reduction in ants and spiders this year (I know, good riddance!), but they are a vital part of the ecosystem. Have a blessed day with Ellie! Thank you so much for sharing the joy of God's Good News! Love you and God bless youj!

Hi, my sister in Christ! You can read my note to brother Norm about my touch of reality with Covid. Trust me, it is real. Though we are blessed it is not as bad as I believe it was at first (thank God), it is not too unpleasant with the shots. Without the shots, I don't know how it would be. If you can have the shots, I think it is a bonus to protect yourself. I did not have much of a reaction to any of the shots other than just being "lazy" for a day or so. God bless you, Sis! Yes, we would all love a little bit of peace and joy! Maybe God is going to retrieve us soon! Love and God bless you, sis!

@@ATouchOfTheSun If I had it no one knew. I guess they say when there are no symptoms there still is covid. LOL That is very much a governmental mess made in China. I pray for sickness of anyone of any kind. But covid is a smoke screen. There are man breathing diseases. God bless you and I pray you never get sick like that again. Long before Covid I came within a prayer of dying from viral pneumonia. It was the worst sick I had ever been. Finally after a month I began to get better. There are no drugs for virus. Not this one. But my immune system took a hit. That was 2017. When the bad cold and flu that covid was came along. I thought what is the difference whether I die now since I did not die now. I broke my hip. Not yet dead. I walk without a cane. I worked hard this last year to get better. God is there healing me. I am so blessed! It is raining. My nose is runny again. Achoo.

@ATouchOfTheSun 6 күн бұрын
Yes! We had the vaccine and the boosters, but missed it last year, not sure why. We had Covid after Thanksgiving. I lost my sense of taste and smell for about 7 months. That was NOT fun! I do think without the shots, it would have been a LOT worse. I just wanted to sleep the first 24 hours and after that, I just felt bad. I still tried to get out and do the Good News, but I sure didn't feel like doing anything else. I was glad when I could smell the cinnamon on my oatmeal again! It sure made me appreciate God's gifts of taste and smell. I soon discovered that without smell, you could be in danger and not know it. Think about it! Can't smell smoke? Can't smell how too much of this or that to protect yourself? Also, it was a great inconvenience not to be able to detect things with your nose! I know there are those who oppose the vaccines, but personally, I think of the shots as a gift from God. Those who came up with the vaccine didn't think it up without His help! Think about the manufacturers of the equipment to safely produce and deliver the vaccine! I think the whole thing is a gift from God. There is an exact demonstration of how a person in a flood was on the roof but turned down help from both a boat and a helicopter. They said God will save me! When they died and went to heaven, they asked God, "Why didn't You save me?" He said, "I tried to. I sent a boat and a helicopter." Now tell me how this is any different? Also, if you want to know my opinion on this, while we're on a roll, people went to church, without masks, ignoring the safety guidelines. Some died. Many in my church demanded the church stay open. Our Bishop made all our churches close until it was safe to open. Those people said, "God will protect us" Well, another opinion (mine), Jesus also said, "Don't test God." What is your opinion? Our pastor, who has an autoimmune disorder and was at great risk during this time, did a video every night for six months, and recorded a "service" on Sundays. After six months, he cut back to about three days a week until we could get back together. But there were people in our church wanting to run him out of town, so to speak, because he didn't keep the church "open." He broadcast to us in the parking lot as soon as he got the audio equipment so we could listen in on the radio, side by side in our cars, with our windows rolled up if we chose. But people still weren't happy with his efforts. I won't go into the rest of this story, but it sure shows the true spirit of folks. I can watch our services now on KZfaq, instead of going to church. If we get sick, we will not be able to help our very senior parents. Love you, my brother in Christ! I hope you are doing well! I am going to go over and join you on your walks now!

I love this psalm. It rejoices in what God made which is everything. Forgive my hidden faults. So many things go into the verse. Forgive my sins by thought, word and deed. This is so beautiful. The butterflies on your flowers. The garden and the beauty of natural things. This week is supposed to be in the 90's. For us, that is cool. We don't get 20 inches in a year. It goes fast once it starts. What is your low temp at night. We are still in the 80's and now the upper 70's. Thank you Father it for all your creations. Thank you for my sisters and brothers in Jesus. God bless you and all of our little group. Gardens are where Jesus spoke often. Grassy hillsides. Jesus loved to be outside. Even when He sought a little peace and quiet, the people found Him and He felt for them. He always has time for us. We are blessed. Love you, GBY. JJ

Hello my friends in Christ! I was able to have time to figure how Psalm 19 ties in with 1 Chronicles 28:21. At this time, David is passing the torch to Solomon, his son, to finish building the Temple that David had really prepared and paved the way for. Just as Moses could only lead his people to the Promised Land, it was up to Joshua to get them there. David is encouraging Solomon to stick to it and do it, that was up to him to get it finished. This Psalm is near the end of David's Life. Amen, my brothers and sisters in Christ! Have a wonderful day, enjoying all your many blessings! Especially the heavens ~ which David proclaims the wonders of in this Psalm! We thank you, Lord and we love You!

I finally found out what that butterfly is. The Viceroy. The Viceroy gets its name from its resemblance to the popular monarch butterfly (they're both royalty-get it?). They are so similar that this butterfly's identification relies largely on a quite minor difference in the hind-wing markings. This looks like your butterflies. Our Father in heaven is always ahead of us on all things. He loved David. Even though David committed adultery and murder. He did it to make his child a child of God. God takes him to task for us. We should be so lucky. This is going to be another day in paradise. If you love 104 temps and ozone and then winds of 40 mph gusts. No end in sight for this heat. The moisture from the gulf has changed and the eastern part of the state is getting all the rain. The high pressure front finally moved but it is STILL hot here. This is our cabin fever time of year. In winter we get to walk outdoors and play in the park with the dog. Now we are being kept indoors because breathing ozone laden air is killing the lungs. God is good to every one. But He answers the prayers of the righteous. Those who believe in Him and worship Him. I pray to God every day to thank Him for you. I love these garden worship times. Love you too. GBY

I love your morning devotions. Any time of day is good for a devotion. Our Lord God is our rock and our refuge. It sounds so good to know that He is always there to protect us. This world has God's love and look at what state it is in. The Holy Spirit is keeping the evil back. But when God gathers us from this turmoil, His love leaves too. He leaves behind a world that does not know God or have His love. The only way to come to Jesus after the Gathering, is thru death. If you have no faith now, will you give your life to save your soul? All signs point to no. I do not want anyone I know to go to hell. I would love it if I could bring Ellie us in the fati. But that will not happen. Once again my poor little great granddaughter has lost a full time momma. Her mom (my granddaughter) abandoned her. Then a new momma came. She and Ellie got along so well. Ellie loves her. But while momma 2.0 went to Kansas to visit her non-custodial children, Anthony found another girl. This one is leaving her husband because he beats her and her baby. I wonder if Anthony knows how much he is hurting Ellie. She has NO stability other than Kim her Nana on daddy's side. And us. But she is not allowed to learn about Jesus and pray or learn prayers. No Christian songs. How can a little girl who lost 2 mothers in 2 years and is only 4 turn out right without God to hold onto. I ask that you keep her in your prayers. That she is not one of the lost children of this age. Her dad can do what he wants but he will be in hell for keeping his child from Jesus. He blames his mother. When she was on drugs her kids suffered. But he does not drink or do drugs. He is improved already. God is next but he is against it all the way. Thank you Bev. This weighs heavy on my heart. GBY Love you, J

How tragic. You can believe we are keeping her and your family in our prayers. May it be God's will that something good will come out of what the destroyer intended for bad. The selfishness amongst the adults will not be sustained, and sooner or later, they will feel the emptiness weighing upon them and they will have nowhere to turn except to the only One who can save them from themselves. Prayers, prayers, and more prayers, sister. Love you and God bless you.

Good afternoon Beverly, Psalm 18 is a Psalm written by David, after God saved him from King Saul, the psalm is a celebration of God's protection and deliverance, David use figurative language to describe how God empowered him in his victories, the song also includes imagery that helps readers understand God's power and justice, and provide comfort and assurance to God's people
