Hey, I wish you all the best. I know it can be very frustrating at times but I believe you can do this. A few weeks ago I had what felt like a million CDs lying on the floor because I cleared them off the shelf but couldn’t get myself to sort them, and after having them collecting dust on my floor for a few weeks I finally got to sort them once I set myself a reward. I don’t know if this helps, but you’ll find your way like you always do and it’s all going to be fine. Best wishes!

Greetings! First let me praise you for getting down and making the effort let alone making this very informative video. A few days ago, a hot day I might add, my Accord failed to start. My local garage whom I trust implicitly diagnosed this very same issue... the main power relay under the left dash. They charged me $170 C and the car starts like new again. It seems this is a common problem as the solder joints in this relay become 'cold' i.e they need to be resoldered to restore electrical continuity. Anyway, my only complaint is I didn't find your video in time to preemptively sort my relay out. Thank you again for being an intrepid car girl!

Thank you so much for your video, I was able to replace the main relay on my 1993 Honda Accord. I had the same issue, car won’t start when it’s hot. It was the same process except that the location of the relay was in a tighter spot, electrical wiring was in the way, btw, my car has a manual transmission. Now able to start the car even when hot. 👍

Yes, you’re still helping people after all these years and I love this car, it’ll be 30 yrs. old this July ( bought it brand new ). It now has 488,000 miles and counting, could have been way past 500,000 miles had I not retired. Used the car to and from work, 6 days/wk, 100 mi./day. Rarely used the car in its early years. Thanks again for your helpful video and more power to you !👍

I feel humbled that even though so many years have passed my humble video is still helping people. I only made this because I didn't want to see others struggle to be able to fix theirs as much as I did. St the time there wasn't a through and simple video or set of instructions that I could find. I never expected this to blow up like it did and for so many to find it useful. Thank you for all your support over the years and letting me know you found this video helpful. May your Honda carry you another 200k miles and beyond.

Thank you so much for helping me find this part. I was getting no "fire" to my plugs. Two weeks of youtube videos and other "expert" advice and a (wasted) 200 dollar aftermarket distributor it turned out to be a faulty Main Relay (apparently, if this relay fails, then the "signal" to the distributor to "spark" wont happen. Didnt find this tidbit in any videos i watched. So...if no spark and no fuel...check main relay. Thanks for helping me find this!!!

That is so kind of you to say. That means a lot. I'm touched to know I could help. Its funny because when I made this there wasn't one showing how to do it and I just wanted to make it easier for other people. I never expected my video to blow up.

Thanks for the video. This seems to be the only video that shows exactly where the relay is. The guys in the other vids just point to the dash and say "it's right there" and then cut to them holding the relay in their hand.

Couple of questions. Does it still start without the same issues? If not how long did it last? Did the check engine light and flashing D4 light come on? Could you hear a crackling sound coming from the same area as the relay? I’ve replaced two relays that I bought off Amazon for 15.00 and both didn’t last a month. Can you put up a link to the one you bought? Great video!
@Amberdawnn764 жыл бұрын
I bought mine from auto zone for around $50. I had it a year after I replaced it and it was perfect after that. No crackling heard.

Nice video, I used a 10mm deep socket with a 6" extension and a adapter to place on my cordless drill. The deep socket is needed for the nuts holding the bracket for the main relay. Everything came out smoothly.

I didnt realize it had been that long. Yes, things got really busy with hustling to finish the build, moving, Chrisymas, then traveling for my art sales at Pow Wows, then my grandmother staying for 5 weeks. Now I'm getting ready to go to Virginia for 12 days to see family, then in October my shows begin again.

Well it's kind of hard to explain without telling you a long story so I'll try to make it short I had a bad motorcycle accident compound fracture to my right leg broke arm brokeback and after I got out of the hospital I was bored so I started looking on KZfaq I got a good amount of settlement money from the insurance company so I bought myself a 1972 C10 Chevy pickup truck and then I got online to try to learn how to paint how to do body work and how to fix it I found a KZfaqr that was a local person his name is my friend Pete out of Dallas Texas I went to go meet him on his channel he's been KZfaq videos for about 30 years and when I made my first video with him on his channel I felt like I was on top of the world it gave me kind of like a being high feeling reason why I compare it to Feeling High it's because I struggled with a meth addiction for about 30 years it had its ups and downs always took care of my family they were the most important thing in my life but when my mom died I hit rock bottom I buried myself so deep in my addiction because I really didn't want to live anymore I promised myself that I wouldn't spend any of the settlement money on drugs one thing led to another and I started my own KZfaq channel and when I find myself not being able to find the strength Within Myself I find it within my viewers they know my whole story they're here for me and some love me so much when you live with an addiction and you unplug yourself from your in-laws it's a good chance they're not going to be there when you try to plug back in especially after 30 years so I depend on KZfaq to keep myself clean and anytime my video Start slowing down they always bring me back around KZfaq is like a double-edged sword on one side you got the ones that love you and on the other side you got people that want to cut at you like a knife it's like a double-edged sword I had to learn it doesn't matter what other people think when they're negative towards you you have to ignore them and then there's viewers that just bug the crap out of you when you're just doing absolutely nothing and get you moving again a lot of my viewers have struggled for addictions in some way form or fashion in their own ways so they've been there and they don't judge a book by its cover I got a little over a thousand subscribers I don't merchandize my channel for a lot of reasons but the main one is what those viewers out there give me it support and that is worth than any amount of money could ever give me my Honda broke down recently and so I looked on KZfaq on how to fix it you were the first one that popped up and I think that is the problem with my car and then I got to looking at your other videos and noticed that you haven't made any in 8 months and so I was just wondering if you were okay and to hang in there and don't give up because there are people out there like me that do care........ cheers the Limpster.AKA.
