This interview deserved to be recorded without that background noise. I just wish everyone in the place could have been asked to keep quiet during this recorded interview.

So did Waylon get back to Clear Lake for the Buddy festival?
holly had disbanded from the crickets at the time and needed a bass man for his tour....although i liked a lot of the songs holly did after the crickets....nothing can match the original sound of this group together, it was magic....sort of like elvis leaving scotty moore and bill black behind....the original sounds of those guys has never been nor ever will be duplicated....yes, think it over, a lonely heart grows cold and old

Waylon Jennings is the only man I ever saw who would not claim bankruptcy so he didn’t have to pay his debts. He paid everyone off he exercised. He is or was a honest man. Yes he had a rough time with drugs but he whipped them and still had a successful life. I loved Waylon. Allot because of his talent but one reason is he looked allot like my late husband. Fact is in this video here he looks so much like Bill it makes me cry. I love you Waylon. I’m so proud of you for whipping that drug problem. I’m so glad you met Jesse cause she was the exact one for you.

Listen to Waylon's song old friend it's on the Are you ready for the country album 1976 it's about Buddy you can hear the pain he still missed Buddy I believe the hard times he spoke of going through in the song are the drugs and the crash played a big part in his addiction for so many years

A VALUABLE LESSON IN LIFE HERE IS LEARNING TO FORGIVE YOURSELF FOR YOUR MISTAKES AND CIRCUMSTANCES; BUT, THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL IS TO LEARN FROM THEM AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST PART THAT A LOT OF US FIND HARD TO GRASP! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

NO DISRESPECT HERE: I noticed the interviewer said “they were are trying to keep Buddy Holly’s spirit alive.” That’s not possible because once a person is gone to the other side their spirit goes back to Yehovah; but, their soul stays with them. THE INTERVIEWER SHOW HAVE SAID THEY WERE TRYING TO KEEP BUDY HOLLY’S LEGACY ALIVE.

Watch the real documentary about the night of the plane crash, which features Dion. Waylon and Allsop both lied their azzes off about giving up their seat for Rich Valens. Everytime I see Waylon and Allsop claim this BS in an interview just makes me disrespect them. Shame on them for using the tragedy for continuing fame. They both are liars!

Dion tells a completely different story. Waylon was just the bass player for the backing band. He was not a headliner. The plane ride was for the headliners. Buddy. Big bopper. Richy valens and Dion. Dion tells the story that he gave his seat to Richy V because he was sick after a coin toss. There was only 2 extra seats after the pilot and buddy. So basically Waylon was lying. Why? Who knows.
@pageribe23992 жыл бұрын
I've heard that tale told by Dion, too. Waylon & Buddy where close friends; Buddy had just produced Waylon's first record shortly before this happened. Furthermore, there were too many people that where aware of the facts as this thing played out who backhed up Waylon's version. Waylon wasn't a liar, either.
@markwestervelt97082 жыл бұрын
@@pageribe2399 well someone’s lying. Lol. Like Dion said with all the people claiming that story , the plane should have been a 727.

I'm convinced the events that happened that night changed Waylon. I love the man and I'm so blessed to have made my pass thru this universe while he was here and I'm blessed to have seen him. People think they'd like to win the lottery. All the money in the world wouldn't bring him back. If you got to know who Waylon was and you love his music, you won the lottery.

"Because of that decision, I'm alive--and he's dead," Waylon said tearfully of Buddy Holly in an A & E interview. He was referring to giving up his seat on the Cessna to the Big Bopper. Tommy Allsup gave up his seat to Ritchie Valens after a coin toss. It haunted Jennings for the rest of his life, despite his successful musical career. He comes across in this interview as a down-to-earth and likable man. RIP Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, and Waylon Jennings. Your contributions mean a lot to me! 😄😺🎸🎸🎸🎸🎵🎶🎶🎵🎼🎼
