I guess if you can use it with a 24in ratchet with it, the Tekton crows foot flare nuts, must be working pretty well!

Great Video. But... Rancho Shocks have a Life-Time Warranty. Free Exchange Only, Labor isn't included! Also the rubber boot part, when installing them w/ zip tie, leave a small weep hole gap (on both sides) to allow water to drain out.

Rancho, robust? Nice if you want a Cadillac ride in a truck. Had them from the factory on all my GMCs/Silverados and pulled them off around 10K and went with Bilstein. Not saying they won't last, just saying they are terrible for road feel and for cornering, etc.
@hillsautohome34626 күн бұрын
Interesting. Have not experienced terrible road feel. Based on all the comments it appears to be negative on some applications and better on others. I also did not know that any manufacture used the RS9000 from the factory, what came from the factory with a RS9000?

I don't know if there's a big difference between the filler neck on 2500's and 3500's but mine wouldn't budge. Had to disconnect at the tank and there is absolutely no slack in the hose. You've got to stand on your head to reach your hand in between the tank and the clamps.

They are nice to have but I rarely find uses for them. The few times I was like I have the perfect wrench for that, have been met with realizing I did not have the right size. I have needed smaller and larger or metric. So, have only used a few times now.

Wow, you said you bent it! How in the world did that happen, and was it under warranty? I need to replace my 2006 Ram 2500 ball joints and was looking at ball joint presses. But, If this one only works on heavy duty ball joints I may need to look at other options!
@hillsautohome3464 ай бұрын
I guess a super stuck joint. I think it was. The Matco dealer let me borrow and test it out. If I recall correctly, he said he would just warranty it. Other presses work. I just have never had any luck with others this is a nice kit. It is on my list of tools to purchase.

Tekton puts out some solid stuff, I have been using their wrenches in the heavy equipment field for 3 years and can’t complain. They even warrantied my wrench rolls after I wore through them in less than a year. Love em. I wanna pick up one of these mini pry sets soon.
@michaelconway43165 ай бұрын
Just installed a set of these on my Chevy 2500HD, so far I really like them. I hope they last as long as yours, that's really impressive. The Rancho shocks that came on the truck were completely shot at 172,000 miles, the rear ones had no rebound and the fronts wouldn't compress at all by hand. I recently bought the truck and hoped these would help the ride and they have. What settings do you typically run them at?
@hillsautohome3465 ай бұрын
They are a great option. I never mess with the settings but if I remember correctly I have the rears set stiff and the fronts as soft as they will go.

It just seems like you did no research and got a shady guy to do your work. I wouldnt trust anyone to do this mod besides custom solutions inc.
@hillsautohome3465 ай бұрын
I actually did years of research. Spoke with many customers of both trex tech and Custom Solutionz inc. I also consulted several body shops and a former Nascar fabricator on the best location to stretch one. Both said the strongest place to cut and splice is right under the back of the cab, rather than under the bed. I actually visited the Stretch My Truck guys in UT. Was not impressed with several welds and two of the bed mounts where not even supporting the bed. I know that they have many happy customers so who knows. I still have a huge email chain from them asking questions about their process. Don't know what would have been best. Either way it was a gamble.
After my fuel filter water separator rebuild, the 7.3 ran much better. Hot S🎉hot in the fuel and crank case solved the exhaust smoke stack. It's got 540K, and never changed the injectors, but did put "O" ring kit ($15) on all of 'em.

It does work wonders and it cleans the engine as it runs too. It is not an engine flush that is so harsh you have to get it out of there in 10 minutes but rather you can leave it in until the next change. If you get any leaks they were already there in the first place and plugged by sludge deposits that are now gone.
