I once visited my old hometown after being away for twenty years. The first place I wanted to visit was Hell's Gate. I remember hearing about various stories about the things that would happen at Hell's Gate from my fellow peers back in the 1990s. Out of curiosity, I decided to finally visit the area and see what was around. Although it was a peaceful visit, during the daytime, I did feel as though I was being watched. Though I am not one to believe much of the supernatural, I actually would not be surprised if Hell's Gate was an actual portal to hell. lol I mean, Lubbock is rich in history. It has experienced many unexplainable things; the double tornados of 1970, the Lubbock Lights, not to mention the area dates back to Paleo-Indian times (perhaps their spirits still wander the Llano Estacado area).
