You should definitely consider getting a pet, specifically a dog because dogs have personality and you can take them for walks everyday. That helped me a lot abroad until i got a job

Hi Vuyo , i totally relate to what you are saying, its been 6 months since i left corporate for full time content creation. And its been really challenging, i haven't moved to another country but that transition still hit me hard. I started therapy and it has helped me a lot, i realised that i actually didnt spend much time with me, mentally, because i was always busy with work and i also used it as a distraction. So i think for you the transition may even be harder because of the relocation part, because on top of leaving work you also have to deal with being in a new environment. Lately what has been helping me is having a routine, and pre-planning my days so that at any given time i have something assigned for that time. (Something pretty much like a timetable), i now work out twice a day , just to keep occupied too. I also get ready and dress up as if I'm going to work outside lol and having designated office space also helps me a lot. I never thought a day would come when I'd say I miss Audit, but here am I lol, living an answered prayer bu somehow still feeling down. However, by he grace of God I know we will be in a place of peace

Ohhhh je, i feel for u. But, from an African whos leaving in Germany for close to 18 years....i understand u 100% BUT, u will b fine.....try this 1.Intergrate.... Go out talk to people...mke friends....go shopping.....OUT....even without ur hubby. 2. Learn the Language!!!.....(biggest challenge) 3. Ur immediate family is ur hubby n his family....yes, ur African family is ur blood family but try to get closer to ur new family( hubbys family).... Even the bible says..'.Thats y a mann will Leav his father n stick to his mate'! Dont get me wrong, but try to adjust ur focus,atleast for now. 4. Get a goal, apartment makeover or somehing in ur apartment to mke it ur own. It helps u feel at home. Anyway, soon or latter, u will look back and Laugh about how u felt coz u will b used to ur new chapter. Hugs n greetings from Stuttgard❤

Vuyo, everyone is different I think it’s because you do not have family members close to you for some it can be very lonely and yes I know your hubby is there but when he is working etc you feel lonely. For some making a move is very difficult. I moved to the US from Jamaica 🇯🇲 to live with my parents in Connecticut and because it was so cold and depressing due to snow etc I left my family and moved to Fl. I can handle be alone but I know many people would not be able to. I just pray that things get better for you. ❤❤❤❤ Pray on it and hopefully you will feel better soon. In South Africa it’s warmer and the weather when it’s winter in Germany can be cold and depressing. Again, I pray you are in a better place of mind soon.

You need to stop being so hard on yourself. You knew long ago that it is far from home. Take it one day at a time and let God lead the path. Give God thanks every day. No foreigner ever get totally settled, when they left their native land. Don't stress, pray,sig make you home and relation ship happy. Learn to do Crafts, or join a group that helps to motivate you.
