Did you know that Schopenhauer believed in other living beings in the universe but that they couldn't be much more intelligent than humans, because they would then exterminate each other with the weapons they would be able to invent? The first atom bomb was detonated just 85 years after Schopenhauer's death.

If they were more intelligent then perhaps they may have realised something about weapons.

This is why the West has to bring back Christianity. The cult of Woke has taken its place. The problem is mankind is not divine, however it is currently arrogant enough to believe that it is. We need to to bring back humility.

I was someone who was very flashy and liked showing off though I never would have admitted it, I can definitely see objectively now and that I probably enjoyed invoking feelings of jelousy in others. A way on one upping others and feeding your own ego. Being on the other side and not in a good situation, Ive become disgusted at other people doing this behavior and can see that exact same behavior I exhibited. God has a funny way of doing things, this has been a very humbling experience for me and definitely makes me want to change my own behavior. I have an alcoholic friend who is bragging about his ability to drink heavily daily without a hangover and bragging about his woodwork skills. He puts me down for my efforts in developing my own woodworking skills when I mention taking courses. Recently he started showing signs of jealousy on a night out and started calling me a b!tch because I used to get attention from other females when I was younger. I am a bisexual woman, he is a straight guy. He also got jealous that I have a disability badge to park my car anywhere after a stroke. He doesn’t even have a licence. I’ve come to accept that this is no longer a friendship to him but in fact a competition in his head. He sees me as a threat. He sees the workmen we hire as threats too. I am no longer a drinker and I no longer drink with him. I’ve known him for 28 years and now I realise I have to let him go. He is unconsciously trying to destroy me to elevate himself. It’s always about one upping other people. I’m done. It’s nasty! No wonder he is ending up more alone with time. People just don’t want to hear it. Yet he has the cheek to play the martyr! Lol.

An order that doesnt result in the constituant forces canceling each other out by random arrangement. (Much like if a lotta people tug on a rock from many diractions randomly it wont move but if everyone tugs in the same direction it'll move...)

Can he tell why a bicycle stays upright? There's this joke. The student goes to physics exam and the teacher askes about the essence of magnetism. The student answers "well darn it i knew it yesterday but i forgot". The teacher replies: "well that's a tragedy because you are the only one on earth who ever knew it".

Disgusting it is. But that's not very uncommon. It's found even among teenagers. Maybe that's why men of ancient societies take the male children with them as soon as they are grown enough to walk/run.

the idea of purpose is conflicting. if i see myself as a personal ego then my purpose is a personal one. if ego doesn't work for me then my purpose is not self centric. then again if i choose to be selfless then its oxymoron because how can there be choice when there's no self. purpose can only have a meaning when there's a choice thus an ego. when ego does not arise then purpose doesn't come to mind.
@mcl5607 ай бұрын
by logic if everything is a consequence then there's no freewill and there's no self. there is a sense of self though as the mind is attached to sensory organs. the sense of self which loses the realization that it is associated to a cause and effect links is called ego, which happens when we are busy or distracted by our sensations. our brain has also another weakness that is the evolution of memory imprint capability that interfere with our realization part of the brain. we need memories to survive but unfortunately it can also sort of create illusions. but when our mind is not busy we can realize beyond our sensory activities as well as memories. arguably there is a self but when you trace the cause and effect rule without the influences of sensations and memories then the self identity becomes inoperable in a totally independent sense, hence, ego lose its credibility.
