That gutter guards we installed don’t have the dip your cheap cost co gutter guards. It’s that dip that collecting that needles. I wouldn’t go with those helmet ones at all you’ll surely regret it because when it rains hard that water can’t make that turn around. My advice is get leaf blaster pros and your problems will be solved

Nice Job Dave. I didn't know Culligan made those filter's. What's the difference between the HD200-C and the WH-S200-C ? Size maybe?. I'm trying to talk myself into doing this on my house. My plumbing set-up is a bit complex as far as lay out will be. Learned a few thing's. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for all the good info! I’m working on a Kenmore freezer right now… unfortunately I think it’s the control board and/or the thermostat because the inside light comes on but the rest of it is drawing zero power

The 'tick' may be the solenoid energizing and pulling in rather than the Bendix engaging with the flywheel. Two different 'ticks' -- Good luck. Look at 1A Auto and Rock Auto.

Oh no 😳 putting insulation into that hole is a bad idea. Insulation and fiberglass sucked into your air ducts will spray out fiberglass into the air and talk about itching you will be so miserable.

I mean best solution for this, is using wifi AP. Mesh and repetares ..., its not very good, when you can get gigabyt wifi, you need access point with maximum wifi speed 2000mbps and 1000mbps ports, good is ubiquity, or you can use old/new wifi routers, with AP mode and same ssid and password set up.

I've got a mini v2 and am just about to give up on it and toss it in the trash. So frustrated that you can't find parts for it. Trouble started with a clog. From videos I learned to take the hotend apart and using a heatgun I cleared the clog from the PTFE liner. Put it back together wrong and it leaked filament all over the heater block and nozzle. Took it apart and again with heatgun cleared the mess. Then when putting it back together I broke the neumatic fitting on the top of the coldend inside the coldend. Now I'm trying to figure out how to replace the entire hotend with an entire E3D V6 clone. The E3D v6 I got drops in fine with the stock mount and I was able to connect it and get filament running out of it but the whole assembly is too short by about 5mm or more and the cooling fan mount goes beyond the nozzle so I can't level the bed because it crashes into the fan mount. Also, because it's so short the bed can't come up far enough so I ordered longer bolts and springs for the bed. Only plus is what I've learned about 3D printer innards but have not been able to enjoying much actual printing.

Thanks for the video. I use my well for outdoor watering as well as indoor supply. I'd like to remove the rust at the well, because the iron tends to clog up my irrigation system. Is there any way to install outside at the well - I guess I'd need a well house to hold it? Also, does this system work on Iron bacteria? I'm not sure if I have that, but my normal filters get clogged with this slimy brown sediment, so wasn't sure if normal iron or iron bacteria. Thanks!

Here are 2 video's about the initial filters i installed, to try and remove the rust. They worked well, but my rusty water is so bad that i had to change them every month. Which is why i installed the iron filter You could install some type of filter at the well, but it would freeze, or need to be in a pit?? And would be a pain to change and check. Install: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZsV2ktuGsK7bcoU.html 4-years later: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbGqedWpsLKoqXU.html

Great troubleshooting, great video! You talk to us like we have half a brain, and do good analysis. I've got a French door Frigidaire Gallery (FGUN2642LF0) with ice maker in bottom drawer. Purchased it new in summer of 2013. It stopped making any ice about a week ago, and today the heat wave broke enough, for me to decide to get to work on it. I first went for the input valve solenoid like you did. Continuity on the coils and input water-flow tested good. I also saw water in both tubes to and from the water filter, and the one to the ice maker. I didn't think of testing for input signal to the solenoid, but will try that next if necessary. I lifted both bins out of the bottom drawer to access the ice maker (awkward at my age), and removed the ice maker mechanism from the side wall to be able to examine it. All looked good, except there was no water in the trays. My present diagnosis is a clogged water filter. I don't have a water dispenser, so the filter only feeds the ice maker. I changed it once after about 3 years. and haven't changed it again. We have good town water here, and we don't make that much ice. The ice transparency has stayed fairly good, so I haven't changed filter again. I'm hoping it's just a clogged filter . . . I'll know tomorrow when the new one arrives. If it isn't a bad filter, I'm going right to the analysis process you used here. I saw that spring-tension screw for the first time today when I pried off the front cover plate, and wondered what it did. Now I know and will look into that if the filter doesn't fix it. You're a bright young fellow. Good luck in your life, and thanks again for your great analysis and video.

Thank you! Thanks for the step by step and list of what to check. After cleaning the bottom coils, which was caked on the front, I took the panel out of the freezer and found a large block of ice around the freezer thermostat. Five minutes with a hair dryer did it. It's back together and the freezer panel is freezing cold, so we'll watch it for a few days. When you wife opted for the new frig I thought you were going to say you opted for a new wife instead. Only kidding, until I saw the kids bike in the background. Hey, thank you! You're an excellent educator.

I don't know. Maybe the string is a smaller size and slipping out of the slot. Maybe duct tape it in? Maybe twist the line in the other direction?

Thanks for this helpful video. The Purolite is currently $20 less. I'm a little concerned about buying a subpar quality resin. A few reviewers mentioned that the Purolite was a smaller bead size than advertised and caused problems. Have you had any personal experience with the Purolite resin?
