This game is very likely a metaphor for child-abuse, and how abused children often become abusers themselves. Six starts off as a starving, innocent child who never asked for any of the horrible things happening to her. In the end however, she ends up no better than the monstrous adults that mistreated her and the other children. In a more literal sense, every time Six eats something a dark, shadowy version appears watching her in the corner. I believe this entity is the representation of Six's dark side. When she is forced to commit *knowing* cannibalism at the end, her innocent side is destroyed, leaving room for darkness to take over. Either way, we start off the game as a hero, but become the villain at the end.
