It’s sad but you can surely see how her “ poor me “ attitude is holding her back. She has the motivation to work on her vegan diet, fill out paperwork work to get disability and panhandle for cigarettes and “meds” ( heroin ) so obviously she has the capability of making positive changes in her life is she really wanted to do it. The first thing that needs to change with her is something inside her own head. Plus get the hell out of Vancouver. Go to some little town somewhere where there are less homeless people and more chance to get some help without getting lost in the shuffle. I know , it’s easy to say. Not so easy to do. I’m grateful for the cards I have been dealt in life. So sad.

this helping others will never happen because we have such a large immigration population now and that is what we take care of. No I am not making a bad comment I am speaking the truth. Trudeau does not care about the streets. He cares about over populating Canada to make everyone go broke and have a rise of mental health. he wants everyone weak so we rely on the government and they can follow all of us. Rich people have nothing to do with this it is purely government

I hope this video gets out to the people who care and can give her proper support to get her life together . she needs help My heart goes out to her . . Where are the social and psychological as well as medical supports for these people . ??She is courageous to tell her story and is among many many more who need government and peoples help .
@ManKan5102 күн бұрын
In the dtes there are actually a lot of services being offered but there are a few issues: 1) the dtes population is growing at a rate that services cannot keep up with. If medical services across Canada for the general population are strained, then obviously that area is going to feel the same effect. 2) Some people are helpless. They'll take the pity, but they don't want the help. They'd rather shoot up drugs than admit they need help. They'd rather choose to live on the street than go into shelters. They don't like shelters because of the rules. Some rules include not doing drugs and alcohol. We get guilted into always blaming the government, but forget that a lot of these people are choosing to not accept the help.

It’s time for her to take responsibility for the unfortunate events in her life, as well as owning the consequences of her actions. Stop blaming everyone for your situation. Obviously there’s a reason why your ex doesn’t want you around your kids. Drugs aren’t the answer! Stop enabling this person!

I hope that you are in touch with someone from your family. Walking the streets and at night is no way to live or be. I hope you find peace within yourself young man. It’s never to late to make changes in your life to turn things around for yourself.

When some children are born their family and community are not loving and caring. When a childs mind is bent by abuse, neglect and fear it takes a long time to change their thinking and self-worth. After a history of active drug addiction I am clean for 43 years. To this day I continue to learn to love myself and others. Not everyone just snaps out of their abusive past and takes on a new lifestyle. 😢😮❤

Honestly this was really hard to watch, I don't understand how we as a G7 country can just throw people away.
@MyamirahКүн бұрын
I don’t think we are “ throwing people away “. You can’t help people that don’t want to be helped. However I think the current liberal government’s drug policies are enabling and encouraging drug abuse and addiction. Just look and how she describes her drug addiction as taking “ meds” when really she is a heroin junkie. The government taught her to think that way. We need to stop normalizing and supporting drug abuse.

What people don't understand is that addiction is almost always connected to past trauma. When you have unresolved issues and no support it just eats you up inside and and the alcohol and drugs completely rewires your brain.

People make choices. I was raised in a violently abusive environment, explored drugs & partying from 14-26 & made a CHOICE to work through my pain & trauma to stop and create the life that I wanted. As a taxpayer I am tired of SUPPORTING addicts to drugs all day while I go to work. STOP ENABLING addicts, this isn’t help.
