Definitely didn't invent this, I've seen these in the wild before, not made of forks and scrap wood but same concept. It's what I call a "good rig job!" Also known as ghetto or redneck engineering 👍

I was very impressed with the creativity and teaching ability of this video editor. The way he presents and illustrates the methods and operating principles is clear, easy to understand and apply. I believe this video will be an important source of information for those interested in welding or wanting to modify their own home appliances. It slowly exploits the potential of technologies through reusing batteries and spark plugs to establish mini welding machines.

So like3 everyone has an insert that correct size. BS hack not a hack. Hack means what you already have nearby. if you had cut the same tubing and sliced a near wall thickness strip out 3" x 1/8. that newer circ, could have been glued inside but with what glue abs or pvc? the hoses would have to butt. ISSUES- LIKELY IF USED A LOT.

No. Go buy a new plug and put it on the cord. Don't bother splicing when the break is right at the plug.
@addydiesel6627Ай бұрын
Be careful. Needs 2-3 layers thermal shrink wrap over the joint to prevent breaking again. Not for heavy duty. Laptop charger maybe ok

I use a temperature-controlled tip for soldering and a soldering iron stand which has a sponge. I wet the sponge before plugging in the iron. Then I rub the tip on the sponge every time I pull it out of the stand. This keeps the tip clean and shiny.

Nao entendi bem onde os fios vão ligar? Os conetores vermelhos e pretos ligam onde? E o ferro de soldar tem de ser ligado a 220 V?
@carlos.galhano4 ай бұрын
I don't quite understand where the wires will connect? Where do the red and black connectors connect? And does the soldering iron have to be connected to 220 V?
@marcoisenschmid15724 ай бұрын
The effect is true and you could use a motorcycle or car battery, but carbon zinc batteries to extract the ferrite are hard to find nowadays, and this should be mentioned in the video because people are going to open alcaline batteries and lose their skin... do not open batteries if you are not sure about what you are doing
@spencermalone5974 ай бұрын
This video is the visual equivalent of a virus. There are so many issues with doing this. Please never take apart any batteries. Soldering tips are cheap, your hands are not. Wiring a circuit with mainline essentially using your soldering iron as a really big resistor is a terrible idea. Also you don't know what chemicals will leach off this hot battery if not chemically cleaned. This is so stupid it has to be trying to kill people.
