The amount of individuals, that have no consept of farm produce and its intensity, is beguiling. It’s assertive and constructive on the most par, they literally have know idea.

Sheep are a nightmare, but they’re lovely animals, it’s about time our generation were re-educated.

Why not put it on a wagon right after you bale it and take it to the barn this way you have to handle the hay a lot more. We baled 40 acres and put right on a wagon that could handle 80 bales at a time then fill another wagon then take all of them to the barn and put them in the hay loft still a lot of work but we only lifted the bales once. Off the wagon and into the hay loft.

Because with this you follow behind with a tractor and grapple. The tractor grabs the groups of 10 and can stack anywhere from 200 to 400 on a trailer (depending on trailer weight limit). Then drives to barn and re-stacks VERY TIGHTLY in barn using same grapple. Zero touching and tighter stacks.

I disagree James,the older baler(mf 128) can keep up with modern balers,as they are designed with 6 foot pick up and I can realy ram crop through them,at 540 rpm regardless of crop(hay or straw) the benefits of these sledges are that,A you spend less time outside the tractor,B they move the bales so fast,that when you do drop a knott you don't get three broken bales before you realise wots happened and C they keep bales off the ground for longer,hence no cut strings.We have a bigger version one

This sledge was designed,by some one I no,and wot he doesn't no about haymaking,beleive me its not worth knowing.I have used these,and they are fantastic, wen u watch this just think about how it helps u!!! trust me if u used one u would no. Well done Ritchie ag.

Why not just get a bale kicker and kick the bales into a hay wagon
@culdaffsmyth11 жыл бұрын

@jamesfalky12 жыл бұрын
To all those saying it is a rubbish idea, the idea behind it is to keep up with the modern balers capacity which older models cannot do, and with larger combine headers, 24-45ft, the baler is not travelling at sufficient forward speed or travelling far enough between bales. Also keeping soil out of the bales and avoiding cutting strings on flinty land. I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, but people seem to be far too keen to dish out the abuse on here because they are hidden behind

It's a brilliant idea. I particularly like the mechanism for the 4th bale. the first time the 4th bale is in its place. It allows all 4 to move back and the second time that 4th bale is placed, it releases the back door. I would love to see how that was is achieved.

I agree its crap it leaves a great big gap in the middle of bales!! Our 40 year old browns sledge leaves them all touching and would probably only cost £200 i dread to think how much Ritchie charge for there's!!! oh well rant over LOL
