Just bought a 98 about 6 months ago. About to tackle this, replacing exhaust manifold and head gasket this weekend. Super high quality video, please keep them coming. I'm subbed.

Wasn't I surprised when I found my brake fluid leak by finding a puddle of it by my feet after driving. Thank you Jimmy, very good video.

Would this seat be a good replacement for someone taller? Im 6 foot 4 and my partner is abt 5 foot 8, when im in the driver seat for some reason its lower to the bottom of the car so when i sit in my passenger side i barely fit in the car at all and almost have no headroom, looking to be taller in the driver seat but not too tall so that i hit my head, like an inch maybe inch and a half max of headroom for myself, would these work?

Now this is the kind of sound I'm looking for if I get a vette. More of a C6 myself. Not just loud for the sake of loud but sounds like a proper beast .

Jeepin, what was the end result on the YJ slave cyl? Did you get a new part or did you modify the existing part? I’m going from a factory A5 internal slave (1991 YJ) to a 98 external A5. I too am trying to figure out the correct year clutch cylinder kit.

Awesome to see people do it differently than what everybody now days is doing like a C6 and up. Don’t get me wrong the C6Z is the sexiest Corvette to me but this right here is one SUPER clean and nasty C5 it’s simple and done right 🤘🏼

Should have got new pins and connectors. Those butt connectors are the worst. Atleast get the non insulated type crimp them with an actual pair of crimpers and heat shrink it...

Very detailed. Thank you!. FYI - Petroleum jelly will degrade rubber over time causing it to harden and crack, a silicon grease is a better option for lubricating o-rings

Yuo forgot to adjust the valves. Check down by the Speedo houseing gear at the wheel. You have to take the front wheel off. I believe the O ring is a oil ring gasket that goes to another model.

Hmm my 96 gets 16.5mpg (18.2 hwy) and it's 236k mi, only thing done was the accel tune up kit. I keep going back and forth on doing the 4 hole injectors. But might finally do it, chasing the 18/20mpg.

Also, may be an idea to grease both ends of choke cable and the choke linkage on the carbs, as they can seize up and cause strain on the new cable(don't ask how I know!!!). I had my 250 for 13 years and it was fantastically reliable with only minimum maintenance. The weak points are the exhaust collector box rusting out, the stock shock absorbers leaking and a weak single front disc brake. All easily sorted, 2-1 exhaust, new shocks and braided metal brake lines, or fit a twin disc wheel/brake calipers and master cylinder. Also would advise oiling the speedo cable to help avoid corosion, as they can seize up and destroy the speedo drive in the wheel or in the tachometer, depending. You could try removing the front wheel, and check the dogs on the speedo drive on the hub. If they're bent, the speedo won't work. One way to test the rev counter is to disconnect the speedo cable, from the wheel end, put the cable into a cordless drill, spin it up and see if the rev counter needle moves. If it does, then the problem is at the drive end on the wheel.

the round rubber gasket is for a different model. The filters fit both models, but the casing the gasket fits into is a different shape. I used to have a CB 250n Super Dream(250 Hawk in the states) and used to get both rubber seals with the replacement filters. I think the earlier Honda 250 G5 used the round one, or it may have been a CX500? Hope this helps. Steve.

They are a bit dull, but they go for ever, like most Honda CB's. Great bike for new riders economical low maintenance.
