Does this increase lean right or left?

Looking at the completed pattern, the honeycomb effect looks as though it would be a complicated pattern. I imagined that , only being a four row repeat each row would be different. Over the moon when I watched the video.Its the simplest pattern I've ever seen to have such a gorgeous finish.
