I mean I'm glad that you have shown us that we can take the seat face off but you didn't actually show us how to do that you're saying this boat somewhere over here like what does that tell me nothing I'm going to end up pulling balls off that don't need to come off and it's just not exactly a great video for teaching anybody something I'm sorry but I am grateful that you taught me that I can take the front of the face off so I can get under my seat because of how tight this shit is I just wish you would have included in this information I don't know you know the list of tools I need and all that crap

Thank you so much, this was extremely helpful as I have just had this problem and my driveshaft was bent back 90 degrees, I just cut the tie wrap and re seated the shaft in the hole, put on a new tie wrap and it’s all fixed. I can’t imagine how much Mercedes would charge for this….new motor and driveshaft plus fitting, I reckon upwards of £750

I’ve got a 2017 350 glc amg with 37000 miles, let’s face it mercs have crap seats the ones in my car are made of vinyl and are delaminating from the threads on the cushion( drivers seat) and guess what the main stealers don’t want to know as it’s not a safety issue even though it seems to be a common issue🤔🤔🤔
@drivetime42522 жыл бұрын
They are scared because they probably don't want to damage it more so will probably want you to buy a whole new seat which is the case for mine. Hope the vid will help your similar situation

@@drivetime4252 I had enough of the crap from the dealers, the car went at a loss but am more than happy with my 2015 sq5 which to be fare is a better drive and more economical with more bhp and REAL leather seats but have to say the glc was better in the way of technology😎😎😎

I have the same problem. Not sure if my bracket is twisted. Did you have you take the bracket out to straighten it out? And when you said push the shaft back in, did you use the plier to get it in more? Thanks in advance.
@serjaymedrano45702 жыл бұрын
Straighten out the seat as much as possible make sure the bracket is straight and the drive shaft goes in a little hole then zip tie it down so the miter doesn’t rotate

You have totally ruined the sound of it, far too raspy, its lost its deep, bassy growl. Thats why mine is staying standard
@drivetime42523 жыл бұрын
It's far from raspy. If you here it in the flesh. It's deep, pops and crackles. The sound on this video doesn't do it justice. A decat on these is a must. Unleashes that unreal engine. Standard just strangles it. Listen too my other videos

Not bad guy, A for effort. One suggestion however is to get a coat hanger and put a 90 degree angle on the end about 1/8 -1/4" and you can slip it under the black piece also moving. You may have to use thicker coathanger or long skinny screw driver with bent tip to lift on that piece. Further, that brass piece is likely connected to door lock which must be lifted first. Of course if you take a good long skinny screwdriver and 90 the tip... much better tool. My door opened just by lifting that brass piece, but Not what time. Was tricky like your video but I have had experience stealing cars when young 50 years ago and now I'm a backyard mechanic. Good video and koodos for figuring it out.
