Just Subbed! Keep going nice one..👍 This also makes you appreciate the humble extrude tool, don't know why it's not in Affinity. For software that has some neat tricks, doing that just sucks. Hoping for V3 🤞😆

The Photoshop tutorial you mentioned at the beginning - it wouldn't happen to be from Blue Lightning TV? I know he did a Photoshop tutorial on this recently.
@tonycarretti28729 күн бұрын
I believe it was a grapexels tut, but I’ve seen the one from Blue Lightning now as well and it seems to be the same method. PS definitely makes things a lot easier with the filter gallery, something that I wish AF would incorporate into future versions. Right now I’m trying to figure out a comparable way to achieve transparent glass/water splash but it still doesn’t look right.

Excellent tutorial (SUBSCRIBED!!) ...but the "reflexion" part is LOL. The reflection shouldn't appear inclined towards the viewer. Instead, the reflected image will be a direct, symmetrical reflection, meaning it will be a mirror image of the object, perfectly aligned with it. If it looks inclined, it might be due to an angle or curvature in the reflective surface or just the viewer’s perspective...
@tonycarretti287224 күн бұрын
@a7xcss You are absolutely right! Not sure what I was thinking, probably getting confused with adding some sort of perspective shadow... thank you for pointing that out! I really appreciate the feedback! Cheers, and thank you for taking a look!

@@tonycarretti2872 Not bad. Sub'd. The angle of your 3D letter would determine the angle of the reflection. Good stuff though, huge fan of composite graphics. You are starting your channel late, but that's a good thing.

interesting and well done. the amount for this Roman should've been "X" though, not "10" 🙂 -- or an "L" or "C" to make it worth more :) It should been possible to do the initial steps non-destructively with live filters and fx.

@@tonycarretti2872 Photo's a bit strange in dealing with them: you often have to drag them "onto" the layer so they're nested _inside_ it to only affect this one layer. It's a bit different than in other apps but once you get used to this workflow, it's also more powerful. You can also mask each single one of them and have very good control over how and where they're applied. In your example you can more easily swap the image layer of the Roman (using a soft round mask for the edges) with another subject w/o having to recreate any of the rest.

I have but one question; if you buy decaf, coffee from the neutered bean - as it has less stuff in it than regular coffee, are the savings greater? A great tip on savings.

Very, very helpful video how you showed how much power it drew and when! 🌿And so smart to use batteries for some things like power tools, batteries that can be recharged by Bluetti. Sweet!🌿 I have a new Instant Pot Duo and so far love and recommend it. All the research I saw on it made me love it. Lots of pros about it. 🌿Though considering a 3 qt instead of my 6 qt. 🌿My 6 qt made 9 servings, or 4.5 quite large servings, of fantastic vegan chili mac today. I msy try dehydrating some of it in the oven for fast, easy backpacker/camper style meal to simply mix with boiled water! Apparently Instant Pot can dehydrate too!! 🌿Sidenote: I will say a blender is also a wonderful meal prep item! And some simple, safe little 1 or 2 burner camping stove to boil water or to use say a cast iron deep skillet with cast iron shallow skillet as lid (or as skillet). Maybe glass pot or pan for cooking acids (tomatoes, lemon, etc.). Those things may be the only electronic kitchen items I personally ever really need again other than small fridge + small freezer. Ok, maybe a little food processor. Think I enjoy avoiding fuel canisters if possible. Little lightweight alcohol stoves or twig/leaf stoves to boil water can be a nice back-up or for hikes. But not very welcome in high fire-risk areas and should be used responsibly.
