They tried w electric cars 100 years ago people were back the same NO Freaking Way until they come up with way to recharge like filling up with gas maybe then theirs the recyclable of thousands of dead batteries that contain very toxi materials mercury for one also lithium as well as other materials are all strip mined huge pits with huge machines to dig it out just one machine alone produces enough co2 in 1 day then gas car in year, u have in Africa thousands of people digging by hand colbalt it takes 500 thousand gallons of water to process 1ton of TELL me their better for environment also hearing seeing they don't do good I cold like any battery. Can't help but think that's the idea outlaw gas çars so u really can't travel far, u live in their 15 minute cities we don't have enough power plants to recharge these cars if alot people got one. These electric cars can be remote controlled why u think they want everything electric if u don't tow the line let's say like social credit score they can turn u off. We have the technology for free energy they hide alot of technology from people like known cures for cancer, machines that can extract filter fresh clean drinking water anywhere

Beautiful car. A labor of love in the restoration. In the summer the engine heats up the firewall so much there is an aftermarket fix. A plastic device you pump up with air after putting in water. It mists upon the driver's legs.. 🙂

Beautiful car. Saw these as well as Triumphs and MGs all the time when I was young and in college during the late '60s. I've had two English motorcycles which cured me of wanting an English car with anything made by Lucas in it. Love the color of this Austin Healey!

Don't know about the 3000's, but cold weather was The Time to drive my '58 One Hundred Six. With the muffler beneath the driver, you broiled in Summer. But...great fun.

Double-clutching for fun or ? I thought they had all-synchro transmissions?

I believe they do, or at least the top three gears. He must have been doing it either for fun or to spare the synchros. But double clutching during upshifts would seem unnecessary and almost counter-productive. Even in old Bentley's, with their no synchros on anything, you only have to pause a second or two between gears going up. There are several KZfaq videos where you can see that. Coming down, of course, is an entirely different matter.

I've always wanted an Austin Healey, next would be a MGB GT, and last a Ford Anglia. Interestingly enough I was in love with British cars before I married a British national and yes my motorcycle is a Triumph.

Nice looking Healey! I had a 62 BT7 in the mid 70s. It was my daily driver. Drove it from Md, to Alabama, to Florida and back. They are not that bad in the winter with the roof up or better yet with a hardtop as the engine pushes so much heat into the cabin. But with the roof down it could take a few days to thaw.

NICE RIDE! and it looks super smart in that blue finish ... a dear friend got a Racing Green one in '70 and as we lived next to a major highway that was just completed and barely used, he calls me up and says "We're gonna do 100 on Rt 135! Get your ass over here!" ... I did, and we did ... shakin' like a leaf as I watched the speedo, it climbed steadily as the Healey rolled on smoothly ... we exchanged big grins when we got out, looking over that magnificent vehicle

Attention, according to new judgments and changes in German and EU building law, it may happen that deregistered cars, classic cars and even vehicles with seasonal license plates are no longer allowed to be stored in garages. The municipalities need money and send inspectors around to check whether work is being done in garages or whether deregistered classic cars are parked. ...that can cost up to 10,000 euros! It is even planned that in the future (unregistered) vehicles and trailers parked in the garden (outside garages) will be defined as structures for which building authorities will then require building applications and permits (and of course not grant them!); there will be a network of vehicle registration offices and building regulations offices take place so that building permits are requested by car owners as soon as they are deregistered.

Not all Americans are silly. Some of us even know it’s an E-Type. S1, S1.5, S2 and S3. FHC, DHC and the 2+2. In any case we can all agree it is the most beautiful car ever created.
