Pacman World III probably is one of the best examples of a very Speedrun Friendly title because of its lack of optimizations: As this was produced during the transition phase of when Namco was merging with Bandai, many projects had to be finished up by the end of Fiscal Year 2006 and some even lost funding and resources in the middle of development; Pacman Adventures (which ultimately became Pacman World III; most likely the result of creative differences between Namco and Don Bluth) is one core example of this major shift, there is a substantial amount of the plot and visual elements missing that likely never got incorporated into any Development Build and the lengthy search to get any of the Press and Preview Builds only delivers more wonder as to what else we are unfamiliar with, it also explains why we have so many glitches to work with and I feel that what we have seen here with the Gamecube port is only the surface of what is truly possible. Now, I grew up with the September 027 of 2005 build (Retail PlayStation 02 version, NTSC~U), so I can only imagine what glitches reside in it when compared to the PAL and Windows releases; if there is no major difference in gameplay between the NTSC builds across PlayStation 02 and Gamecube, then the only way that we will probably witness a more aggressive TAS than this one is through the prototypes, most of these glitches and the Revroll strat for the fight with Erwin in Shadow Temple really would've made my playing experience easier in 2005 and Early '06 that it truly is a pleasant sight to witness this all be put together north of Eighteen and a Half Years later. (:

I(Ryan)discovered another glitch were you can get infinite lives,by simply using a checkpoint and collect a one up then lose some health by falling into an abyss, And lost one hit point and what happened next is the life token respawns(as if it was a health token), Try this glitch out to prove what I meant, and don’t collect the life token before you hit the next checkpoint, Because each checkpoint represents a save screen,so you won’t be able to get more lives? Because the life and health tokens will not respawn after you hit the next checkpoint. I call this a one up health down penalty,if you don’t collect the one up before you hit the next checkpoint, you can repeatedly get infinite lives, But if you only get to do this 4 times before you lose another life(in this game)unless you have a health token nearby, The earliest level you can do this glitch, is on the banni wastelands. You have to figure out what I mean.

in the ds version you can skip the first spectral fight by rev rolling right before the trigger for it spawn then if you rev roll again you will hit the portal then start jumping the spectral monster spawns under you then you jump off and over the portal

i discovered the superjump on ladders when i was a kid and it was one of the most surreal things in gaming as a kid that ive done.

This is a childhood favorite In my book. As of right now I bought PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC and I'm loving it. Hopefully we can get the 2nd game and 3rd. Even if not I hope I can afford one day to buy this game and relive my childhood 😭 😀

Pac Man looks like he dipped in Oil

I’m your 100th like, this is so crazy beating the game in 1:23:00, I still have the console version on GameCube and it takes around 6 or 7 hours to complete if you do it normally, I still play it at least 3 times a year this is my favourite PacMan world game I love the dark plot/story, it would be awesome if they did a remaster on PlayStation or Xbox

you should try cracking open the psp version that one is even more easy to break

This was the first game that I had that I completed all on my own. This TAS run, while ridiculous, opens a lot of doors for me.
