And I guess depending on the cable provider you got that carried MétéoMédia, you either got the stereo mix (which was heard here), or in other cases the mono mix that TWN used. This local forecast music by then would be heard when going to standby.

MétéoMédia used this as well, albeit with different music - and they also had a 5 second version they'd use sometimes from 2005-2007.

I think by this point in time, MétéoMédia dropped their acoustic intro for their local forecasts, even on the non-sponsored ones. The Weather Network I think would follow suit late in the winter 2006-07 season, and other than a brief acoustic intro return from February-October 2009, went unacoustic until new music came in January 2010, with a holiday mix of one of the songs starting on December 21, 2009.

I remember MétéoMédia using it as well... depending on the cable provider it would either have the mono mix or the stereo mix of the song. There were other times when they started using this tune that they also used the previous 2005-06 theme in tandem, before this one would eventually be replaced.

That's odd... using the 2005-2007 graphics past the early morning of October 1st is quite unusual. They would have used the newer graphics by then.

After 5AM in the morning, the Moon Phases would be in the last segment of the regional forecast instead of the normal temperatures until the redesign in December 2010 where it would sometimes appear and sometimes not. During the winter months at the time in the AM the highway conditions would pop up for some strange reason.

How much attention did you ever pay to the Canada Weather Network Local Forecasts from 2007-2009? Well, I was wondering if you knew about an emulation of such a forecast, but with elements from the USA TWC such as the 1998-2006 icons. I was wondering if you could help me out with the song in the video. I have no idea what the name and artist are, but I remember what the song sounded like.

Interestingly, the music used in this promo was previously used as a local forecast theme during the Morning Report back in 1996.

That's odd... MétéoMédia did have synchronization issues as well, but what happened to them was that the LF background ended at the 2:15 mark yet the weather info continued on for 45 seconds more.

That format looks less complicated than today. Great music track as well. I still wish TWN featured a Regional Observations template with cities closer to home.
