@@hhopkins72 I agree what you are saying but the it's instructor's responsibility to teach properly and present a good quality to the public because these black belts will be the future instructors to teach, when they're not good at this level, what would they pass to others?

@@mohammadsediqi9162 if you aim at becoming an instructor, yes you should strive for a higher better level always both attending seminars and also hours of self training. During such a short weekend seminar there is a limit to how many feedbacks that can be given and should be given by a guest instructor. A few wellplaced feedbacks is more valuable than many 😊

Excellent instructor, Taegeuk forms are plain garbage, doesn’t really take tremendous efforts to learn, its a faster way to earn a black belt. WTF style is truly impressive withs its acrobatic kicks and breaks however the system is combat ineffective for self defense. Your ITF color belt forms are much more dynamic and difficult to learn, performing correctly. The self defense for ITF is truly superior and realistic. Yes, even ITF self defense has weakness and flaws.

Base on my observation, the male black belt up front next to the black belt female needs more one-on-one time with the instructor in my opinion. Right hand is positioned to his side, typical with martial arts, and not what the instructor was doing where both of his hands where next to his face. Also when throwing the left jab he doesn't step forward like the instructor was doing. So he ends up reaching, which brings his leg to spread longer apart, making him susceptible to any counter attach with legs or punches because he won't be able to move fast to evade the counter. But, hey what the hell do I know! I've only been been doing martial arts for as long as I can remember in different arts as well. The instructor is Solid in his teaching method and more advance compared to other traditional TaeKwondo instructor where they don't even teach you how to use your hands. ;-)

These drills are not practical. This video shows the common misunderstanding of how these blocks were meant to be used.

The most black belts here are not really good. That's no wonder, if many Clubs only have a weekly training total of 3 hours and people consider this as recreational and otherwise do not do much physically.
