You are awesome man, thank you so much! I am someone heavy in the world of progressive rock who only began guitar 5 months ago! I believe I have progressed well with the guitar myself, though despite reaching the point where I am starting to technically shred a bit, can understand guitar tabs with slight music theory, and have doing well in my guitar classes I have been desiring something more than my Orange amplifier... I wanted a guitar pedal that could potentially give off Todd Rundgren's 70s sound and after many minutes of research I found this and I'm very impressed. Spectacular.

L'ho avuta per 3 4 anni circa. Chitarra assurda, perfetta. Comodissima. Ci ho registrato un disco Prog Rock, mi ha dato tutti i suoni che mi servivano. Per non averne nessuno in particolare e farmela scambiare con una PRS Custom CE 24. Ma per i session man, è perfetta!

Great video and great playing! / I am quite a bit older than you, and have been with PT from the very very beginning. Long before they were doing the harder material there was stuff like Voyage 34 parts 1 to 4 (Floyd influence) and stuff like Up the Downstairs (1993 !!). This album has influences of the dance / rave scene of the time! Mark.

Super cool vid. Your slap bass technique is incredible. I just picked up the sgr 600e 4 string and a luthier got ahold of it and did an amazing job. I like to tune super low. And its fretting out on the first fret. dumb question but i should be able to cure that from the the bridge without sacrificing ibanez legendary fretboard action. Correct?

Well reviewed...I have this bass in the blue burst..the neck is a 5 piece Jotoba & Walnut with Rosewood fretboard,Abalone inlays... great bass's even when played passively & still have a pan pot, volume & passive tone control...the Nordstrand pickups are really good & no noise with a quiet pre-amp...i play it active or passive depending on if i have remembered to take a fresh battery...duh! sounds really good with a pick for Rock, Punk etc a very versatile bass, well made with great pickups, it is a good bass for recording
@kotanel
@kotanel 4 ай бұрын
Tell me, is this tool lightweight? Is it comfortable for you to play it with your left hand: is it a comfortable neck? Is there a difference in sound volume when switching from active to passive mode? And I’m also concerned: how to care for the body and neck - after all, the surface is not protected by varnish? I would be grateful for your answers to questions and instructions on how to care for the instrument!!!

@@kotanel .....they are pretty light bass's, 8lb - 9lb, very comfortable to play with a slim countoured body & a beautiful 5 piece slim neck..Jazz width nut, 38.1mm....it can go louder in active mode but the pickups are good quality Nordstrand passive pickups with 3 band eq, 3 position mid, pan pot & volume in active mode....passively it sounds good, should be loud enough live played passively...i wipe the neck & body with a warm moist new clean cotton cloth after playing & dry with a cotton towel....

Porcupine Tree shifted in a heavier direction when Steven Wilson started working with and producing albuns for Opeth. The drummer change , while imo SIGNIFICANT, didn't influence the 'heaviness' of the sound, especially since that is neither his forté, nor background.
@GianlucaPavanMusician
@GianlucaPavanMusician 5 ай бұрын
You're right maybe i express myself badly...but they kept that direction in the other album because gavin got into messhugga and other heavier bands if you think about it. The opeth part 100% influenced in absentia i agree 1000%
