Hello, my names Adam and I happen to have a 66 Fairlane 500 that's in dire need of those front suspension. Well I live in Eureka KS. I'm 41 years old, and I'm absolutely ate up with classic cars! My mother had a 4 door 66 Fairlane that I remember going on drives in the country around where I'm from in KS. Well years later I had an opportunity to buy a 66 Fairlane 500 2 door. I put a 347 sbf and a Richmond 5 speed. And I did the apholstery all by myself! ( wasn't the funnest thing ever ) lol. See I have been coming along over the years trying to get the car finished, but last year I got into an accident at work and all my front teeth completely knocked out by a pipe wrench at work! ( worst thing ever!) And I lost my job in the oilfield. And even though my car moves fast, the steering is all original n VERY worn out. If you guys haven't found a better candidate yet, it would mean so very much to me to be able to make this old car of mine drive more safer and sure footed. I almost had to sell her while not having a job but my wife wouldn't let me, and I don't think I could've... well my email is [email protected] or you can give me a shout on my cell. 620 583-2252. Young lady I want to say this to you I'm so glad you came out rebuilding carburetors and teaching other young friends how to do it it's almost like a lost art please enjoy your life while you are young period I am older than your dad I'm sure. And you have a bright future very glad you're hooked up with Edelbrock carburetors😊

Check the ignition timing first off, cause of stumble? Dual quad way over fueled for an sbc? Not really, when sized properly, most likely they are on this nice of a car? So adjust the linkage properly for WOT as usual for the whole reason of having dual quads.

My twin daughters just bought a 1985 Sea Ray 390 that they live on in the Florida Keys. It’s got a pair of Mercruiser 454s that someone tried to install Edelbrock 1411s on. Needless to say these are NOT marine carbs so they are looking to trade for a pair of rebuilt 1410s or other 750 cfm marine carburetors. Should I have them give you a call?

Love this “how to” video. I have done the “smother” technique along with a Seafoam spray hot soak and Seafoam (high concentration) in the fuel tank to clean the carburetor on my ‘78 Lincoln Town Coupe when it was running a little rough but didn’t need a full carburetor tear down/replacement, and it worked great. Btw, the car in this video is also a Town Coupe, not a Mark V…but both have a 7.5L 460 w/ a Motorcraft 4350 4bbl carb.

Yes.. sometimes you can go in from behind and spin the star adjuster backwards
