Thank you! Very insightful. I have a couple questions if that's okay: 1. I've seen some showreels that have a curved wall subtly textured background and some of those even have a grid with measurements to show the size of their model. Would something like that enhance a showreel or is it an unnecessary distraction? 2. Some showreels show the object moving with the lighting static and then the lighting moving with the object static. It looks like you've combined both in the one turn - is this preferable to save on time? Thanks so much!

Couldn't you have done a 2-point object track on the subject to get the up/down, left/right movement of the center of gravity as a starting point to build off of?

Hi Josh, hope this comment finds you well. I have a question about taking the photos. When scanning for matchmoving, does the focal length of the footage have to match the focal length of the scan photos? Thanks a lot.

Hey, no it doesn’t, you can scan with any focal length, I use 50mm mostly and sometimes as low as 18mm, but you can use any focal length

Thanks a lot. I'm having an issue with my own footage and scan. I've lined the scan up nicely, tracked it but there is some slipping going on. Approximate survey at 10cm does nothing, however, when I bump up the values quite significantly, the deviation goes down (I'm getting a deviation of 0.9, but the footage is handheld and fairly shaky) but with no improvement on the slipping. Only part of the scan seems to lock nicely but gets worse at other areas, particularly where the scan is a little poopy. Could the problem lie in the scan?
