Why are Russian aircraft designed for 3 crew in the cockpit the flight engineer seems to only operate the thrust levers

The TU204 was re-designed for a 2 Pilot crew. I was lucky to fly the old version 👍

PRAOade på Frösön på 90-talet på Mål & Duk Kompaniet. Vi fick snickra masonitlådor i tre dagar och sen kom det två Viggen och sköt sönder allt på 10 sekunder. Bland det häftigaste jag har varit med om!

All Iran Air's 747s are either grounded waiting to be scrapped or already scrapped, this perticular aircraft, EP-IAB nicknamed Khorasan did its last flight in 2012 after 36 years and is currently in graveyard since then waiting to be executed. this is probably filmed in 2000s. all the crew in this video is retired i think. i remember flying with one of these exactly on this route(my first international flight), lots of magazines and no flight entertainment, they played something like a podcast during flight and there was audio jacks on the seats but so noisy that you couldn't hear anything. such good times

So far there's been only one crash, during a landing. My first visit there was driving a country road bus on the not ready runway. The second visit was by air, becoming an obstacle for the DC 3 ILS checking plane and leaving the runway quickly, making the people in the tower dive under the table.....

The Iran Air Captain sure has a lot of experience flying with 22,000 hours over 40 years. I would feel very safe flying with this kind of crew in the cockpit.

I bet there is nothing working in The cargo hold 😂 scrapping the floor with the ULDs which I used to Do on there A300B4 600 at Heathrow 😂 The cargo door B747 SP function is in the belly Of the aircraft like the B767

Tha Captain has been very good by congratulating the first office at the landing (very good). Such rainy conditions, at Ethiopian Airlines, only the Captain should kand the plane as per their procedure. At KQ, it seems different.

Great video. The quality looks very recent, but the planes OY-KKS and LN-RPE (-600) tells me that is at lest 22 years old. Fun to watch.

Я вот думаю: Говорят Ту-204 устарел, но если так посмотреть, авионика современная, развитый автопилот, комфортный салон. Летал как то из турции на Ту-204, понравилось. Единственный минус на мой взгляд, это небольшой ресурс ПС-90А по сравнеyию с CFM-56. Но над этим надо работать или ремоторизировать на более современные двигатели. Крыло имеет суперкритический профиль. Массу самолета можно снижать, заменяя на композитные изделия. Не массово, но Ту-204 все время эксплуатируется. Есть модернизированная версия Ту-204СМ.

Very nice landing, but the captain made an error during landing checklist. At 1:48:56 he confirms that speed brake is ARMED. But later 1:50:28 at touchdown we see that in fact speed brake was not armed, and he had to deploy it manually when he noticed it wasn't armed.
