Hi, I am from Japan and currently living in Perth, Australia!! I miss convenience stores in Japan so bad....haha but I really love your videos! You made me realize how amazing my country is!! Thank you!

It is an amazing country 😊🇯🇵 Australia is nice too, but in a different way. I hear the beaches in WA are beautiful!
How did you learn Japanese? I’m trying to learn so I myself can go to Japan to possible move to live there.
@Sunny_in_Japan18 сағат бұрын
I’ve studied Japanese since high school. It’s a hard language to learn, but very interesting too. All the best with your studies 💪

@@Sunny_in_Japan Do you have any suggestions that may help the learning process?
@Sunny_in_Japan17 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately there’s no quick or easy way, but having a good foundation is most important. After that I found immersion the best way to learn ie putting yourself in situations where you’re forced to speak only Japanese
@RayvenArtz17 сағат бұрын
@@Sunny_in_Japan ok, I really am determined to learn, but man the language is intimidating especially the writing.
@Sunny_in_Japan17 сағат бұрын
@RayvenArtz it is a hard language, but if you’re determined you can do it 💪
Love your thought🫰This video tells that the language speak its culture. Wanna see Australian English original or unique expressions that cannot easily translate to Japanese as well🙏

it really annoys me or many Japanese locals that foreign tourists behave in public without paying attention to others. It does suck. Her explanation did let me well aware of the reason for them to do harm to the locals: they do not have the concept in their cultures of turning their attention to others in public 🤷♀️ Japan is not a place for them to party around.
Great video, I like how you combined the Japanese phrases overview with the snack reviews. You are pretty witty; or pretty and witty. Got me chuckling with the Messi(y) refrence.

Hahaha thank you I love it when a silly reference resonates with someone 😁 You seem pretty good with your words too haha
LOL, my partner struggles with the same words. I don't mean to generalize but Japanese people are extremely observant of their situational circumstances, or simply surroundings, as they care so much about "Sekentei." Like, that "hear one, know ten" concept is so foreign to her that she always says :What? Do you want me to be a mind reader?"

Oh I had never heard of 世間体, thank you for teaching me a new word 👏 Yeah, I do sometimes feel like that too. I feel like there are so many hidden cues that I miss and it makes me feel like the people around me in Japan can read minds. It’s very impressive but also super hard to keep up with
sounds like ways of expressing gratitude either to someone else or yourself, positive self-talk each video you somehow out do your last video with the editing 🤣

There are definitely a lot of Japanese phrases related to gratitude, and I love it! Thank you for your comment 😁

I love this video, as usual. From what I know about Wabi-sabi, the house you pointed out could be considered Wabi-sabi if you find it beautiful. For some people, the deterioration makes it more profoundly beautiful as time goes by, such as rust, a shop curtain of a shop that has been around for a long time. If you don't find it beautiful, it's just an old house, but if you see it as quaint, the aesthetic feeling and emotion might be Wabi-sabi. In a nutshell, it depends on how you feel. 笑

I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊 I think I’m just confused as to why you then would call it ‘wabi sabi’ instead of ‘beautiful’ if anything you consider beautiful can be wabi sabi… Not sure if that made sense… haha 🫠

@@Sunny_in_Japan The haiku 夏草や 兵(つわもの)どもが 夢の跡(あと) is the one that makes me feel the most wabi-sabi. The setting of this poem is a place where a war took place several years ago, where warriors fought over territories, power, wealth, and desires-'dreams'. But now, there is no trace of that, just a summer meadow. Standing there alone, the author reflects, 'Ah, it is such a peaceful and empty place now, but just a few years ago, a war was fought here... Thousands of people fought to achieve their dreams here...'. In these 17 syllables, a multitude of indescribable emotions are captured, conveying the futility of history and life. For me, this is the 侘び寂び 😌
Thank you very much for your showing me some examples of how difficult it is for you to learn Japanese. I have understood that Yoroshikuonegaisimasu (よろしくお願いします) & Otsukaresamadesu (お疲れ様です) are very difficult because these words are used in various situation & contain some meanings. And I sometimes have researched the business e-mail format by google before sending e-mail to client. (I'm Japanese but business e-mail is difficult.)

The negative effects of overtourism have led to an increase in the number of foreign tourists who not only disregard Japanese rules but also engage in behavior that lacks basic human decency.

WONDERFUL! Watching right now this your video, and I’ve get need to go there... I watching and seeking for places worldwide - the most islands and archipelagos to move (relocate) there on some quiet, peaceful, tranquil, remote place... And there will buy an Akiya in rural Japan would be a great choice, I think. I seen the world... as seaman (seafarer)... I live in an small country Montenegro by name, where now is a tourism madness... I don’t recognize my country any more... Greetings from Montenegro!
