i remember being like 14 watching aotc and falling in love with anakin lol. star wars guys would never understand but (regardless of hayden’s amazing looks) anakin is incredibly attractive primarily because of how he isn’t afraid to show emotion. very honest, very confident, very attentive and caring. not to mention his power and charm. guys see hayden’s awkward acting (i’m sorry we have to admit to that) and think thats how padme sees her but those “creepy” looks and conversations would pull any girl in i’m telling you.

Ik the acting wasn’t that good in AOTC… Lucas himself admitted that he finds dialogue writing to be a hard task. He’s not bad, he just has a weakness of writing dialogue. But Anakin was supposed to say those lines because he never experienced love. He was resisting and trying to show his love feelings at the same time.

Its actually very likely that a young, very attractive , Naive, girl would fall for an attractive, young bad ass who's also got Magic powers , then given the fact they're are spending every day together , she's in danger and he's protecting her that's huge folks , the thrill of what's going on , they are Naive , and he tells her how beautiful she is all the time , of course this Romance happens

Before that shitty Disney slop where a lightsaber to the gut is just a flesh wound, Padme was under incredible amounts of stress. In like a day, the Republic she fought her whole life to preserve was taken from her. She trusted Palpatine and he has played her the entire time. Her husband murdered kids and tried to kill her. In context, losing the will to live makes sense.

Ok the Prequel's were good actually is getting out of hand. The romance was very poorly done. It can work on paper, but the dialogue was horrible and George Lucas is not a good character and never has been. He does not have the ability to give his actor insights into what he wants the scenes to convey and it is why good actors give rather poor performances throughout the Prequels.

Another thing worth mentioning here is how often the prequel haters say it's so 'obvious' that sending Padme and Anakin to be alone together after Anakin was prophesized to 'bring great danger' was a bad idea and they all should have seen Vader coming based on that BUT it only seems obvious to us because we know he's going to become Vader in retrospect. We've seen the OT. But ask anyone who didn't see the OT or know anything about Star Wars first and they are always shocked when they find out that Anakin is Vader. For anyone who doesn't already know the story it isn't obvious at all. So why would it be obvious to the Jedi? It wouldn't.

Not sure which is funnier; this video or all the prequel apologists in the comments. Nothing in this video or the comments section has won me over. Don't give me the whole "he's a monk who's not given adequate tools to not be socially awkward". Plenty of jedi in the prequels can string words into a sentence when around members of the opposite gender. He talks like he's reading lines off a cue card one word at a time. These are the movies you show people when you want to teach them how to spot sociopaths.

I would love to hear your thoughts about many more SW subjects. I think at some point people stopped cheering the good that came from SW and only focused on the negative. Although Disney ruined the franchise as much as they could. SW's legacy will not be defined by that.

It could be debated that the entire Skywalker story is told from the memories of R2 & 3PO. They were always split and present when some major event was happening, except the Jedi Temple Massacre. That's why they are there.

There is a tiny bit of convience, but I think its reasonable to assume (as a retcon) that leia sent these two because of their connection to to her parents and subsequently obi-wan. I think swapping out some of the ROTS novelization dialog for whats in the movie might help reinforce this

I wish we had more hayden in the prequels; I think the trilogy would be much improved if we took some of the essential bits from episode 1 and added them to episode 2, had a middle chapter during the clone wars that centers around the siege of muunilist (perhaps) or the perhaps jabiim with some of the rots novelization mixed in, and an slightly altered version of rots

56:16 "Star Wars should have had contraceptives." Yes, because a married woman in a clandestine marriage would have no reason whatsoever to try and baby trap her husband. Or maybe a woman who has a husband who only has sex with her during shore leave and is very busy with her job in politics might not have birth control as a very high priority and forget to even take it.

@@tomnorton4277 The Clone Wars tv show actually makes some characters more stupid and character assassinates the prequel characters for example I don't get why Obi-Wan would lie to Anakin about faking his own death since he already knows how far Anakin will likely go to get avenge him and the turmoil it would put on Anakin see how at the start of Episode 2 Obi-Wan knows Anakin worried about his mother just from dreams. I just don't see Obi-Wan putting Anakin through something like that even if the council told Obi-Wan not to tell Anakin, but the thing is I would think he would if he were put into that situation anyway since he was going to defy them and Yoda in Episode 1 to train Anakin. I could go on with other characters but that's pretty big example of why I don't think the show is all that great or "enhances" the prequels.
