Yes I've shown similar engines before. Hank the Tank does climb but being a hybrid it's the center wheel which gives it that ability, not the electric motors - as you no doubt know, though interestingly it's placed over the motors so they help boost it. This video was originally to focus on FESCA but I had a rough day of it (the last stage specifically, I had wheel despawn issues) so adapted it into this comparison. Your idea sounds interesting. The cart press was used by the FESCA inventor shortly before inventing the FESCA tech. All I did was stick 2 of them together.

By attaching the axle of a backwards wheel to the axle of a normal wheel, you can use the power o both to double the speed.

You can test this yourself: Attach 2 carts together end to end. On top of the one cart attach a big wheel by its axle. Next get 2 other big wheels facing opposite directions and attach those together by the axle, then attach the bottom wheel to the top of the other cart and strike the build to set it in motion. You'll notice the top wheel spins faster. If you instead have those 2 wheels facing the same way the top wheel won't turn at all because the axles cancel each other out. The problem is that just put like that the reverse wheel will be on the ground countering the forward wheels so you need a way to hold that out of the way. The cart holds the center wheel axles down so it's suspended off the ground. What you're doing is using the big wheel itself as a "boosted" engine. Used like this the axle spins in the opposite direction which is why you need the engine wheel backwards. When you place 2 spinning engines together you get the speed of both combined - so 2x speed as afore-stated. That's only 1 part of the problem though, what you didn't ask about is how the 2 outer wheels are connected at a distance in order to fit the reverse wheel between them. Refer to my "quantum linking" video for more on that: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jN6jrJyh36zZj4E.html This way because both outer wheels are connected by an invisible link, the 2nd outer wheel gains the benefits as the one directly attached to the center reverse wheel. Simply attaching it to the other side of the center axle instead won't give the desired result because the boost only applies to 1 side, therefore your car would go at the slower speed.

No combustible or conducive materials needed so it's a nice safe ride!

I've got quite a few videos of small wheels climbing about. Positioning is situational though, they climb better placed the normal way. Tilted up they handle bumps better but climb extreme inclines worse (if at all).

No because it will only ever download the latest patch. The same goes for the digital version, if you download that it'll always be the latest version so you have to stay on the physical version. There are ways to play the game with "version pickers" but this is the solution as far as Switch is concerned. The only Switch players on 1.1.1 (like me) had already upgraded to that and no further.

I clearly said I've never done this. I have a view and my view doesn't matter. If you're paranoid about that then simply don't have it in. If you still have questions in your head, don't do it. Don't do it at all until you've investigated it to your satisfaction yourself examining the facts from reputable sources, not giving a quiz to someone who's never done it. You backup your save online so you can download it back after resetting the Switch. It specifically backs up game save data.

No, it's just a game save cloud. If you're asking this many questions though you've not done your own research enough and you must do that because I gave the warning and accept no responsibility. No. Stake nudging and gravity nudging are exactly the same concept (just stretched differently) and people on all versions stake nudge all the time. Also I know gravity pressing (the opposite) works and that's the same principle as well. Gravity nudging is popular for big wheels because it's less slow than stake nudging them. Even item culling which IS patched for this method has a newer longer workaround to do it.

Tricky one. Rails don't protect from fire so you're going to be adding weight. The concept is very possible though.

@@KingX I'm planning to use the 1x2 metal slab, hide ww and pot under, keep prop over, enclose the sides. It might work. SW Prop motor can accommodate a surprising amount of weight, especially with the addition of a second prop.

With 1 torch torch this will slowly descend. The weight of a 3rd balloon would be bad for the wheels, impeding ground performance. You could at a push use only 3 wheels then that'd be fine.

Could you use the tilted small wheels you once shown in a build? Like, if I remember, there was one straight small wheel at the front, the other two on the back but they were in an angle. I think you made a three-wheeled car that way.

Simple, just drop a balloon on its own and you'll see the slowest fall, then test different amounts on your build until you get that speed.

@patricklausier9379 That reminds me actually, I completely forgot that video shows it wrong (maybe I should make a new one). What you're supposed to do after stretching it with the 2nd stake is REBUILD it with the NEW autobuild entry, then pull it out with the stake some more and rebuild THAT autobuild, then rinse and repeat. The autobuild history saves the gap. If at some point you make a bad stretch you can revert to the last good autobuild and try again.

Probably not. Shrine capstans work differently than sky ones so I assume Depths ones as well. I know you can get Lightning Temples ones but those are missable.

It does make it easier to land due to the slower fall as demonstrated here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oryJl7Goy7DceGw.html but balloons need 4 fans to fly well. The ease of recharging on the fly helps mitigate that. Even with slower falls though, you need good weight balance for best steadiness.

@@KingX, I'm already using 4 fan designs due to their better stability. My current favorite 'all terrain' vehicle is a sled with four fans...so it flies, slides reasonably well on land, and can easily transport Koroks. It just doesn't do well in very vertical areas like the sky islands.

One cool deal about fanned balloons is they turn in sharp, exciting circles!

@dclark142002 It'll be able to drop straight down, either in an arc or if you use Recall, straight down and it'll stay straight (if reasonably balanced). It's slower going up because of the weight.
