Nothing was achieved whilst a member of ECOWAS. Since leaving Bukina Faso have armed their army with modern weapons, drones, armoured vehicles etc., implemented a gold refinery, a tomato canning factory, procured modern farming equipment, seeds, fertiliser, fish food for farmed fish for the farmers with the aim that BF can feed its population. A few days ago they were able to reclaim an area from terrorist where they were mining gold. Cancelled all mining licenses, including a license with a Russian company. All licenses to be renegotiated. A new BF mining company formed in partnership with a private BF company to fund new infrastructure. Niger renegotiated their contract with a Chinese company to make it more favourable to Niger and then borrowed $400M from China which they will repay with their oil over a period of one year. That debt will then be paid off. That is how you use your resources to develop your country. Tell me again why they need ECOWAS? None of this would be possible if they were still members of ECOWAS. At present BF, Niger and Mali look like one big building site. This is what you call progress.
