I cook the pernil first and once done I take some of that pernil juice/ fat and cook it with my rice. After eating the pernil- I take all the leftover juice/ fat and store it for future use when cooking rice

I discovered your channel, I asked myself where have you been. Love your channel, I also am Puerto Rican, and when you added milk to the masa. I said to myself she knows what she is doing. My mother was an excellent cook. And she alway added milk to the masa. I have yet to find a video where they add it so the masa is soft. Thank you for your beautiful aura.

I saw this episode back in the '90s and I have been making it for my family ever since. It is our family's favorite meal! I make it when the kids are sick and at Christmas. It just makes everyone happy!

The recipe is delicious (I've made it twice) but the timing is way off. It takes much longer to crisp and cook the chicken than the recipe indicates. In my opinion, you'd be better off using chicken pieces as opposed to spatchcocking the chicken.

If you are a fan and fantasy about being around her let me tell you. She'll ignore you. She only say hi to people she knows from before.
