Personally, since I have lived alone for 17 years, I am not one to put up a Christmas tree in my apartment. Here in my country, the tree is usually prepared on December 8, which is a holiday, the day of the Immaculate Conception. It's funny because at Christmas we are in summer and we eat some winter foods. About your fear of heights, I used to have it because I fell off a chair. But two years ago, I gathered courage and climbed a 15-step ladder to cut the branches from the tree at my father's house. I confess that at times I felt afraid when I looked down, but when I went down and saw the tree without so many branches, my joy was overflowing to see that I was able to overcome and control said fear.

I have heard you as well as others speak highly of the Stirling Christmas Eve scent. I will need to key an eye out for it when it becomes available again. I like the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol with Reginald Owen as Scrooge. I like the Wassail Song as it has a good historical story.

Great shave. Stirling makes great soap scents. I shave everyday too. It exfoliates your skin. That combined with high quality soaps, splashes, and balms as well as Alum and/or Witch Hazel will definitely improve a persons skin/complexion. It helped me 110%😊

Many men shave every day. I do. What flavor of Treet blades do you use/like? I have tried the carbon steel ones and found them to be a little harsh. Perhaps, I used it on the wrong razor.

I purchased a tub of Texas on Fire after watching your shave with it in the recent past. When I opened it after I received it, I could definitely smell the smoke in it. I was not sure how well I was going to like shaving with it. I tried it and discovered the smokey scent was not so strong once I lathered it and enjoyed it quite well. Thanks for the recommendation.

Great shave😊 I am picking that Viking Revolution Peppermint today because it is on sale on Amazon. Aren't you going on a cruise soon? And you are thinking about ships sinking? 😂 The Carpathia sank in 1918 during WW1 from a torpedo, but the Brittanic sank in 1916 after hitting a mine. Very sad about that whole line from White Star.

Yes I am but I am very fascinated about all shipwrecks I have been since I was around 8 years old , and living in Michigan for the majority of my life the one that honestly interests me is the legit wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald on November 10th 1975 when it went down 15 miles from White Fish Bay , you see they had a huge storm with Gail force winds basically hurricane force winds on the Great Lakes and it bottomed out and was swallowed by the huge waves and it took all 29 crewmen that fateful night days later a life boat was found on shore , The Arther M. Anderson was the last ship to talk to the Fritz ,and the last known words from Captain Mc Swoley was. “ We are holding our own “

I wipe down the soap jar as well plus let it dry down all day before putting the lid back on. It's funny you talked about Stirling's British Leather. That is in my top 5 shave soaps because the scent is amazing! I got the soap, aftershave and balm from Pasteur's Pharmacy. My wife loves it. I think it was an homage to English Leather so I usually use English Leather or Mason Alhambra's Toscano Leather afterwards as my cologne. I can't get enough of that scent. I feel that way about Pinaud Clubman's Special Reserve Aftershave/Cologne too. It is definitely a unique scent😊

The text message I received from my electrical company said most likely Saturday, they will finish my neighborhood. It’s hotter than a two dollar pistol both inside and out. Great shave this morning. You are not alone. I am 55 (almost 56) and my life came to a crossroads at 54. I had the trifecta of ailments like you at 5'6" and 255 for the last 20 years...Type 2 Diabetes, HB and High Cholesterol. I had the same attitude you did..."I can't change that now so I will just ride it out and do what I can." BUT I was never serious. Wife and two high school kids kept me busy. Involved with Boy Scouts and my Church. Time flew by. In March of '23 I ended up in the hospital with multiple foot infections on my left foot that had gone septic. A week in the hospital and 3 surgeries later (the 4th was being lined up for amputation), the doctors got the infection cleared up. I spent 2 months at home is a hospital bed with IV 3 times a day. It was hell. I promised myself I would not go back to the old me. I changed my lifestyle once I got back on my feet last summer....I lost 85 pounds since then. I get up 4am and workout until 6am (ride the exercise bike, sit ups, push ups and weights) and top it off with a nice wet shave. That is my Zen. I went from a 46 waist to a 32. I feel and look like I am in my 30s (except for the white hair! LOL) YOU CAN CHANGE IT AROUND, but you should not wait until there is a crisis. Do it now. Little changes if you are young. Maybe a more serious change in your 40s. Sorry to babble. I am a new subscriber and like your content. Sam

I am also diabetic and as you said it is not a death sentence. However, I have, in the past many years, had highly variable glucose levels and an A1c over nine. I was using fast acting and slow acting insulin. My PCP put me on terzepatide a couple of months ago. Since then, my glucose has stabilized and I have completely eliminated the short acting insulin and reduced the long acting insulin by 60 units/day. I have also managed to lose about 20 pounds. Hopefully, my A1c next month will be “normal.”

Sir, I love watching your videos. I am amazed at how fast you use your razor. I do not mean that in bad way. I have been using a safety razor since the late 1990’s and while I am going as quickly as my muscle memory allows me anymore, I am amazed at your technique - again in the best possible way. When you go from the left side of your face and then horizontally across you chin, I am gobsmacked as they say across the pond. I would definitely need some alum. Again, amazed in a good way. Keep up the great work.
