The pit masters that taught them must have done something right because you can tell even though they're young, they're passing down the tradition as well hence the young lady wanting to open her own restaurant and being so open about it. Love it, absolutely love it!

the music makes it sound like this restaurant has been around for 100 years and is sadly on its last leg because it cant keep up in the face of capitalism

So, as a Texan i feel im qualified to say, If you didnt stop by Opi's barbecue or salt lick barbecue, then you missed out. But nothing beats those hole in the wall mom and pop shops where they treat you like family and make sure you had enough to eat

I just have to say this is just such a beautiful documentary film. Alvin you are the G.O.A.T.! I keep coming back to this video time and time again. Everything from the cinematography, to the music choice, to the LOVE we see from these workers for their craft and for each other! And of course for the absolutely STUNNINGLY delicious-looking food! Best BBQ I ever had was in Forth Worth Texas. You walked inside, they give you a tray and you come along to yards of open BBQ pits with any cut of beef, pork or chicken you can imagine & point out what you want. I’m talking full 2 inch thick steaks, the meatiest ribs I’ve ever seen & pork chops so thick you couldn’t believe your eyes! 😳. Then you go to the side dish section…. Then the dessert area…. It was pure delicious heaven. 😊
