I'm not a fan of faux drawer... Kinda disappointing to know that those drawers can't and will have nothing to store ever

Great to see that you know when you’re able to restore the natural beauty of the piece rather than painting it to save it from the landfill if it’s too far gone. As long as the piece is saved, I appreciate both! 😊

You primed a red cabinet with white - to then paint it black? 🤔 And I understand, that you liked the first cabinet, but the red one looked very nice too. Fair enough, that you wanted to paint it black, but adding faux drawers and cutting the legs seems so unnecessary, because it did not end up looking like the other one anyway.

Great job but the red cabinet was unique in it's own right. The curved legs, for example, were beautiful. However, you did a good job restoring it to your specifications.

Great job! I love it. May I ask what brand of sander did you use? It looks similar to Surfprep . I’m hoping you are using a less expensive alternative. Thanks.

You mentioned silk is thiner than others. The paint I got is thick like pudding. Was also told not to thin with water. This paint was very clumpy and left little chunks on my finish. It was applied over a primer that had been sanded at 400 grit and cleaned with a tack cloth so it was baby butt smooth. 😢 disappointed

I'm sorry, but... those are not 'lanterns'... 😂 they do look nice though! :3

You shouldn't be using random glass for candles. Sometimes cheap glass will have small bubbles in it. It causes the glass to explode when heated, sending hot wax everywhere. Be careful.

We made 80 of those lanterns to place at the ends of the pews at my daughter’s wedding. Due to church rules we were only allowed to use battery operated candles (which we were 100% fine with). We decorated the lanterns with greenery and candles and the wedding party took a lantern home as a keepsake.

I think it depends on the candleholders you use. But I also have an issue with this being called an easy beginner friendly project when I know that the type of saw she is using is not cheap.
