The Linn card you pulled is a highly playable card right now. Ive been playing alpha clash since set 1 and out of all the sets this was a brutal one for pulls. I am not someone totally into superheroes but the gameplay is great. If you have not tried playing, do try it out. The theme definitely grows on you.

Some GREAT points that are often missed by new tcg creators: - prepare for success - build out the lore beforehand - prepare for success - have a plan to mitigate the slumps - prepare for success Not having things like this pre-planned out can kill momentum and cause a potentially great company to fall apart

I genuinely think the game is going to struggle for at least a year or two. Even pumping out new sets every month or two, until YOUR favorite anime gets released it's a tough sell. The collectability is cool, for those that want it. But for competitive players, there's going to be a serious lack of LGS hosting the game because it's new- There's going to be a lack of singles market outside of the super expensive/rare cards because the rapid-fire product releases don't incentivize holding onto anything else. If all the non-chase rares are worth $1-2, ain't nobody making money on singles; Just people selling off their excess from booster busting trying to break even. The generic-systems games suffer from their whale-farming tactics by design. That being said, if you're actively keeping up with the game I'm sure you can stay competitive for very cheap as long as you don't care about any of the fancy cards. Playsets of lower rarities will be plentiful while the product is in season- But after that... Well; have fun getting into a set over a year late. I am interested in the gameplay, we've got an interesting mish-mash of Duel Masters, Vanguard, and Dragon Ball Super/One Piece. I just hope it's actually worth dumping your money into a case of the same set and playing that deck for years on end. Besides its gameplay implications, I'm enjoying the Action Point cards for the sake that you can use any 3 cards you want. So you got dudes bringing their foil cards from non-related games. While it appears they have been rebalancing the English version, be prepared for the pre-canned meta. People are going to copy-paste Eastern decklists for the first month(s). Do a little bit of homework and you'll at least know what to look out for and how to play around it, if not choose to just build around it entirely. With only 2 sets at launch, I'm forced to go with Bleach- As we also know it got a Vol.2 set in Eastern markets. Currently seems like one of the better investments until we get more confirmation on English release schedule. Bleach can hold me over until we get a set that I actually want to collect beyond functioning playsets. I'm certainly going to buy into it and try it out, just hope there'll be people to play with because the initial offerings are so slim. Considering the Eastern release list, there won't be anything I want to actually collect until Yu Yu Hakusho. I have a feeling the West wont receive the Tekken expansion, now that Tekken 7 is old. Game looks like fun though, maybe not super complex or deep; But fun enough to build a handful of different deck archetypes from your anime of choice.

As a huge OP fan, i was excited to collect the mangas i own psa 10s of all. im not a scalper i paid lots of money for cards i loved. it felt good to hold a rare card i didnt mind the market flucutaiong but reprinting mangas and god packs will flood the market.. sadly i wont be collecting OP anymore

Common trend in tcgs is that if game isn't growing it's dying in people's minds. Balance is incredible hard to obtain. Maybe this will weight how good the game actually is. Is it that much better than digimon for example?

Only thing im upset about is that i can now open my 5 cases and theres a chance i wont pull my nami, which is the main reason i bought the cases to begin with.

The reprints wont look the *exact* same so the originals shouldn't lose value. It's like saying "Oh well, Alpha Black Lotus is dogs**t now because there are Beta and Unlimited versions"

Our game Clan Wars is at the beginning stages. We have a prototype product ready to start sending demo sets to KZfaqrs and other influencers. However, you lot seem to understand what has caused other indie cg games to succeed or fail. I wonder, what do each of you feel a game like ours could learn from all this?
