When you do an underpainting under gouache, is that regular gouache as well? Or acrylic gouache? I plan to try that, but wonder if the underlayer will be picked up.

It depends on the detail I’m going for in a painting. If its very loose I will use regular gouache for the underpainting but if it’s more structured I’ll use acryl gouache under

I’m on the same page (burn out). It’s driving me crazy but I’m slowly pulling out of it. I’ve been doing things like a studio Ghibli study and drawing cartoon characters I love (I.e. ok ko let’s be heroes!)…just keeping it light. I’ve also been drawing neurographic drawings to try to loosen up. 😊

I think it looks great! For me art block happens when I start overthinking art and thinking it always has to be perfect. But art isn’t always perfect and that’s one of the things that makes art so cool! ❤❤❤

I really like what you did on this page! I think it looks awesome. But… we are our own worst critics and it’s frustrating when what we envision doesn’t come out on the page. Keep going! I’m having art block right now too and I’m just trying to do a little art everyday hoping to have a breakthrough.

I love "fill your sketchbook" videos, it's very helpful to spark up creativity (and push me to open my own and Do The Thing :D ) Loved the simple landscape and reminder than less in more, particularly for beginners! I'm def someone who tries to add everything and then find my art terrible

I love procreate, but they really need to update more often…not once a year…there’s so many features they said they’re planning but they never come out. This update was exclusive to new devices which honestly rubs me the wrong way

Really cool video ! I just finished my first sketchbook (I drew on random paper sheets for years ahah) and I'm trying to find goals for my next one and this was useful ! Also, I use a lot of different mediums and when using oil pastels or things like charcoal I put tracing paper between the two pages so the next one doesn't get messy (you can also draw on the tracing paper, it's kind of like having a new layer on top that both looks fun and protects your next page) :)
