Polish with a capital is referring to someone from Poland, without the capital it`s to polish. Unless it is the start of a sentence.

hello Epic. thanks for the review. can you please let me know your advice on how to get the car ready for the wax? I mean... ok, I can go and foam it and then get it all clean... still, the care will not be perfectly clean. is there any product I can use better than the foam from the self cleaning stations? and then use the pressured water to rinse it off? or there is no way around and the car always needs to be purified like in a more in depth detailing process?

Think you are harsh on the tyre shine. I use it and I think my tyres look great. My criticism would be it doesn’t last long, but I don’t have problem of getting it all over the car like you mention.

Hi Dave, excellent video as someone who has never machine polished a car before I would be comfortable using this polisher. I do have one question in regards to understanding different compounds etc: Cutting compounds would be to remove defects? And then polishing compounds would be the final finish? On the box with the speed settings I guess you would start by cutting, then polishing and then finish with glaze/sealant? Is there a compound that does everything or do you have to use different compounds + pads?
@epicautomotivedetailing
@epicautomotivedetailing Күн бұрын
Yes mate 100% correct. However I'm actually polishing a car today with zvizzer orange pad and compound and I can honestly say I'm leaving it with one step as there's zero hollograms it's excellent

Do you have any videos where you talk about the best value chemicals, so not cheap worthless stuff. But rather different chemicals that do a great job and are not stupidly priced for a 0.5% better result. I am not too worried about price, as realistically if I want to do this properly I don't want to handicap myself with useless chemicals. Also a good, wet and dry vacuum which can be turned into a carpet extractor for £400. And a good pressure washer.

Gotta be careful with a steamer on glass if the car has tint. It will heat the glue up and cause the tint to peel, that's a pain to fix. Not sure if it's common in Europe but there are a lot of sates in the US that allow it (and people get it done regardless).

Thanks for the advice, great video. I’m struggling to get rid of a Smokey smell from a car I have just purchased. Tried Chemical Brothers New Car Smell and Autoglym Autofresh and some air fresheners. All work for a little while, then it comes back. The smoke smell is not that strong, just annoying. Can you recommend anything please? Thanks, Lee

To be honest, I really want to start a car detailing business but I am so worried because of all the products I THINK I would need. I am concerned that I wont be able to do the job in the case a customer does say no. It would be ideal to have my own power and water in that case, but I simply am lost. Any advice for a beginner like me?

Using an APC in conjunction with the steamer isn’t necessary? Example: Apply an APC to the floor pedals, dwell, then utilize the steamer? Same example with the door jams, etc.?

Great video dave👍, I think when it comes to waxing your car it’s down to preference? Some like the idea of taking time to go over every panel and buff to a shine. And some like the quicker way with spray wax if they are in a hurry? Also if you’re lucky enough to have a large garage? After washing and drying you can back the car in and shut the doors to keep the atmospheric dust from landing on the freshly waxed surface.

why is the wheel cleaner purplish surely that’s a iron/fallout remover instead of an actual wheel cleaner. from my experience i’m sure you only use the iron/fallout remover after you cleaned wheels to get rid any of those grim or road dirt that still lies behind?

We also have this brand here in Australia! I have used this and a product called Carlack 68 and have had awesome success from both. Frankly I cannot tell the difference between the brands. My Chrysler is a shiny red (on my channel) and it just pops after a polish. I try to do it about once a year as my cars never see rain,mostly in the shed they are.

Plenty recommend IK which seems a good product. I quite like Berthoud knapsack and standard 8L carry sprayers. i like them because Berthoud is agriculture based so its made to spray plenty of chemical. the show stopper for me is the lance nozzles. you can change the nozzle for any kind of spray pattern you might want. flat fans, hollow cone, full cone, low drift air inclusion nozzles 70° 110° etc. check out hypro nozzles. this is quite important for my car wash as my wash team needs to apply spray in 1 pass at walking pace to keep up with busy periods. also controls chemical cost as it stops the spiral waving motion a lot of guys use which wastes time and over applys chems.

@epicautomotivedetailing

Hello yes but when you use citrus through a foam cannon it doesn't come out like a foam so it doesn't cling. So basically by adding it to foam it will add a bit of power but reduce cling time reduces efficiency

Loving all your videos, been soooo helpful with starting out my mobile detailing business. All I have is KZfaq knowledge, a car with a big boot, the main equipment( power washer, wet & dry vac, chemicals, brushes, steamer, spot remover machine etc). but don't have a water tank and generator. Finding it hard to get going as im currently limited to washing friends and families car on my driveway which is not ideal. I'm dying to hand out my cards and get listed on google but I am not mobile and that's supposed to be the "key" part of the whole thing. Any advice please? I doubt I would be able to earn enough for the required upgrades by washing cars on my driveway.

Oh and one more thing, I was trying to register my business on google and it says I need to verify by sending a video proving the business is mine? As I have just started I got no clue what they expect me to video. A bucket and microfibre cloth next a car? haha. Also says proof of branding when all I have is a business card.
