Modern gypsies. Oh to be on the road. The settled life is good, up to a point. But to be a gypsy for a time is so, so, good. Forget about the pint; in the dampness and cold I would have a brandy, or two. Get some Dulse too (seaweed for those who do not know). I ate a whole bag of it once with a bar of really good Irish chocolate; not a good idea; ended up with the mother of all stomach aches. The chips are awesome; the soda bread is awesome. The food is all awesome; fresh, fresh. The choice of potatoes; boiled; chips; roasted; new potatoes are best; so good it is possible to make a meal of them. Oh heaven, Ireland is a good substitute for heaven closer to the original than any place else on earth. Just dress warm and enjoy.

Just discovered this beer myself in my local off-licence in Ireland, it's from Barcelona, which is in Catalonia in north east Spain so it's probably a Catalan beer, the Catalan language has lots of X's in it

These beers that say a flavour are hit & miss. Most a miss as they cant deliver on the flavour they claim to have. I have to use my imagination!

I like it, BUT I find that it has an initial punch of banana, but that fades to just a normal beer flavor. Wait! I think this is the new rebrand of Wells Banana Bread Beer!

I am envious that you have not had a summer, our summer here has been brutal so far. I hate summer. Sounds kind of disappointing for a stout.

I think you may be experiencing some slight organic reaction. Only a possibility but it may have become contaminated by sunlight &/or artificial light whilst stacked up over time. The green bottles don’t screen sunlight as well as brown ones do. Supermarket lighting can detrimentally affect green-bottled beer. Just a hunch but it’s definitely a thing.

Really should be in a pub if you are doing Stout comparison . Its not even comparable to a pint . Beamish is by far the most flavourful of all the stouts. The others are bland in comparison .

Dang good beer. Nice mouth feel. Better after 3 gulps. Not overly bitter to me. Dry no after taste finish. I give it a 3.75 outa 5. I have better options but this is solid Pils.
