Did you do the blower resistor while you were at I think I have replaced mine about every 50k and its a real PIA. Daveys Jeeps should have the windshield frame you need.
@diymechanictv123315 сағат бұрын
I had just replaced the blower restsitor before this work, actually! I was able to mine fairly easily from under the dash. Ended up finding a good, used windshield and frame locally and then painting it to match. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I was sitting at a red light the other day and my needle maxed out. Whipped in to the gas station and my wife brought me a new one. It fixed it. Cold start sends it to about 50 and it drops down to 40ish after it warms up. I notice it increases as rpms go up. '01 4.0

I bought from amazon as well if you look at the shipping lane I could see a crown label on that at least on the box but nothing on the unit itself 🤷🏻♂️

Does that have a rear CD change your deck over the right wheel well? Will my parasitic draw I've tracked down to that CD changer shuffling through by itself periodically. Also there's something up under the front of the dash that makes a heck of a noise like event opening and closing and squeaking then it stops after four times I didn't know if that would be kicking on the middle of the night running it dead, but yeah same problem here and I literally just found that fuse 20 minutes before turning your video on looking for a brake light issue. Got no brake lights got a new switch still no brake line there's a big blue wire under their I don't know where it goes yet LOL

So I’ve heard that you don’t want to press the inner seals too far in. How do you make sure you press the seals in far enough but not too far. I have a 97 f350 by the way. Dana 60. The reason I ask is because I saw where there is not a “stop” lip for the seal
@diymechanictv1233Ай бұрын
I think a sling as you're in past flush with the edge of the axle tube so the seal doesn't interfere with the bearings, you should be golden.

The reason that you tighten that bolt with the vehicle in the ground is because those rubbers will squeak and carry on to make noise if they have a twist or tension on it

Thanks for putting these together. Super helpful for my LJ repairs. Not too bad of a job as long as you take your time and keep track of all of those screws / bolts. Finding that last screw on the core box was frustrating but after struggling for a while and rewatching your vid, poof, it was gone in a flash. Thanks again.

If you use the zf harness on the transmission but not the engine bay do you lose cruise control? Also if you use the auto steering column?

Mine doesn't leak (yet) but a few years back I did a flush and reverse flush with the garden hose for the two heater lines and the core. It was amazing watching how much rust and junk came out of just the core. Once it ran clean one direction I swapped the hose and revere flushed it. Even more crap came out. I repeated this three times then reassembled it. Temps for the heater rose 10 degrees at the vents after the flush!!!

Did u get a code ? P1395 bank 1 glow plug monitor fault ? Check engine light ? I got a cali 7.3 tryna figure it out
@diymechanictv12332 ай бұрын
OBS trucks don't set codes for glow plug issues, unfortunately, so you have to figure it out the old-fashioned way.

So if you drill out the spot welds in the bracket that’s in the way of pulling the whole frame out you don’t have to drop the steering wheel at all I just bought two screws and nyelock nuts it saves time

You don’t have any back pressure from the exhaust pipe. Weld a plate over the the end of the pipe and drill a 1/2 inch hole in the plate. Ooops didn’t realize you put a proper pipe on it. Good job figuring it out.
