@JAG16512 жыл бұрын
Hi Ben....I've just shot A4L a message, but I wanted to ask you the width of the AIO chamber? I'm only asking because I wanted to put a Tunze skimmer in one of the chambers, and it 90mm wide, so I was wondering if the filter chamber is that wide?
@bencook47792 жыл бұрын
Hello 👋 the centre chamber is 24cm x 12cm. Hope that helps👍
@JAG16512 жыл бұрын
@@bencook4779 Cheers Ben....12cm wide is plenty of room, so no faffing about really needs to be done by A4L, other than to take out one of the sponge chambers. It was just a query really, because I haven't even decided what I'm going to do with it yet, if I was doing a Zoa garden, to be honest, I could probably take the tank as it comes and dispense with the Skimmer altogether with such a low bio load, and just rely on water changes weekly.

Can you split the power from one safety connector to run both pumps on backup?
@ZaccyPfilm3 жыл бұрын
Can you?
@rc2300s2r2 жыл бұрын
I believe it would work as long as the splitter is in parallel, diy or store bought. It’ll just draw more wattage and whether the tunze can handle the draw of the two pumps you’re running is the question. Small to medium power heads would be fine most likely. I’m running a similar setup with a ice cap V3 (12v) with a voltage booster module in line (24v) split to run two Nero 5s. Total cost me $145 (USD) 130 for the battery back up and 12 for a set of 8 booster units(Amazon).

Good to hear your getting the bug👍 ricordia are lovely and really interesting to keep. They do pop up for sale in shops occasionally or have a look on some Facebook groups. Id stick with the florida ricordia personally and avoid the freshly imported yuma rocks you see,they have a tendency to melt. If you follow me on Instagram I do rehome some from time to time too👍 Thanks for your support

Hi I’ve just set another tank up after watching this setup and kind of copied yours with the rock layout I like the rock work being flat on the sandbed my other tank is just your standard look with rock piled high everyone’s tank looks pretty much the same but this one is different plus lots of room for fish to swim around and I will be putting mushrooms in like you done here I’ve kind of done a half circle on the right hand side and on the left I’m building a frag rack to grow out some coral, I’m rambling on now lol keep us updated on this setup, cheers 😎

Never even thought about battery backup in the UK. We hardly get power cuts and in the event we do, it is just down for a few hours. I take it, if you got an sps tank, then it is a critical equipment
@bencook47793 жыл бұрын
Personally I class it as critical to any tank,for the price of a few "high end" frags it gives you some peace of mind. Although rare,I know of 2 Personal friends with reef tanks that have had power cuts lasting around 20 hours in the last few weeks. Its all down to what level of risk your happy to live with I suppose. At a minimum pick yourself up a little battery powered pump👍

i have a question since your so good with shrooms i just added a bounce mushroom to my tank it is only a baby but i just want to ensure that i can keep it alive because it was such an investment and it is really nice too what are some of the shrooms you have like in the tank you have for your shrooms ?
@bencook47793 жыл бұрын
Hello Ryan, mushrooms like stable tanks like most corals(although not technically coral) just keep your parameters stable with some level of no3/p04. In my experience they don't to too well long term if phosphates drop really low. Flow and lighting can be tricky to get right,they generally like low/medium light and a low gentle current. Hope this helps
