So do you have one, and do you like it? I've used it a couple more times since the video - it's good for "stuffing" somewhere, but I still don't like that it doesn't stand upright and that it's hard to get the water out. Just preference.

Really it's just because I had that part so stuffed, but it is true that those innermost pockets aren't really that usable for anything other than tiny flat items, like SD cards. To be fair, that's what they're designed for.

I'm concerned about the lack of RFID scanning from the exposed side of the wallet. I guess I can use an RFID blocking card as a fascia but just wondering if you know anything regarding RFID protection of this wallet.
@NolanOfConsequence4 ай бұрын
Everything I've read says RFID protecting your wallet isnt worth worrying about; much more likely to have info or money stolen some other way. But also, the way it sits in my pocket, the metal part faces outward, so that does block scans.

@@NolanOfConsequence I bought the XSTO wallet. Chose the 8 card version. I guess you're right about RFID protection not being a major concern nowadays.

Blowing into it was a test to see if I could prevent the sides from sticking together and limiting the flow of water. But yes, it's made to be squeezed out or sucked out.

Drying the Vapur after cleaning was a bigger problem for me. There would always be a bit of water left in the bag. Over time it would probably grow mould, even if I only filled it with water. The HydraPak, being able to hold its shape, dries out much easier.

This was actually a great review…there is definitely something wrong with Bellroys “L” (liters) measurements. I love the bags but I am yet to find one that actually works for me! I bought the 9L and the 10L at once to try them and see which one worked for me because I wanted to be able to take my iPad 11” if I needed to…right away the 10L was a no since its divided inside with more of cameras-driven thinking…the 9L is awesome with nice organization but one there are a few things inside, there is no room for the iPad…so I took those back and ended up getting the Aer Day Sling 3 Max, everything fits, designated iPad pocket, nice organization! Still hunted by how much I liked the Bellroy though, I recently got the Ready Sling 2.5L…I don’t get the LITERS thing!! I got it just to have a Bellroy for the run, car keys, home keys, cellphone and a wallet..maybe my sunglasses…2.5L and it is a tight fit!! I have a minimalist wallet. So I ordered the Alpaka Elements Tech Mini…anxiously waiting to see if works better than the Ready Sling! I believe I have exhausted my options with Bellroy, which is sad because I love the colors, the materials, the straps…but there is something definitely wrong with the sizes, liters or whatever!!

If you get it, let me know how it works, as it's on my wish list. Thanks for watching!

I found the 6l was a little small for my needs as well, so I got the 9l and a different case for my iPad (8" Tokyo folio from Bellroy) and that combo is perfect. The back, zippered pocket was still too small for the tablet but the separate protection of the folio solved it just fine while giving me even more storage organization (notebook, pen, and a couple of other small things.)

Have a look at the alpaka vertex pouch if you haven't already, its a sling tech organizer that is also designed to function as desk caddy.
@NolanOfConsequence10 ай бұрын
Yes, I definitely have my eye on that. Hard to justify buying another bag when I already have 2 slings and I'm not sure the Vertex would be much better for my use cases. But I do like how the top hangs down vertically when open, instead of folding over and resting on the table like the Evergoods Cap2. So it essentially takes up less space on my desk than the Cap2.

Great video, I have the alpaka element tech case max, and love the accordion style compartment and orange inner lining. The main issue I have with it though is that has a tech pouch first and sling bag second design and leaves a bit to be desired when using it as a sling. It is relatively thick as a sling, doesn't have any swivel to make the strap contour and distribute the weight more evenly onto the body.
@NolanOfConsequence10 ай бұрын
Good points, it all depends on individual uses cases and tastes. I love things that fill more than one function, so maybe that's why it appeals to me so much.

I love multi-functional products as well, just needs to be well implemented. If they could add the expandable side gusset to the element tech case and also a 360 swivel, it'll check most of my boxes for an edc sling :)@@NolanOfConsequence
