How can you say that lippert frames aren't American made? They are made in Indiana, I was just past one of their factories this past week. Keystone cougar is a great mid priced RV, you just need to spend some time on the Internet and search through the reviews on all rv's in the price range.

Lippert is American made…so not sure what you’re getting at there.

Maybe look at an Northwood Arctic Fox. You really don't see tons of reviews on them. They build their own frames.

We like our current Sportrek 333vfk, and like you guys found our 2020 302vrb lacking a bit in space thus our reason to trade. They may be nice but like you i just can't see enough benefits to justify the cost of purchasing and maintaining a class A motorhome. I am also sold on the BAL frame and components. Enjoy your videos.

I have a 12v fridge in my Rockwood Geo Pro. You do have to be careful and not pack it so full that the food is against the walls, because it has to have air circulation. And, you can adjust the temperature.

Only concern I would have is the Salesmans 3/4 ton towable on the Sporttrek rear kitchen. Looks like dry pin weight is 2200. I have a 3/4 with payload package which gives me 3158 in total payload. Per Ford my max pin weight is 2054. It’s just something to consider is all.

So if money would not be an option, would you still be in your diesel pusher? We are currently in a 5th wheel and considering a diesel pusher. - Mike and Shelley

@@campinwiththeconfers Oh for sure!!! If money wasn’t a problem, absolutely 100% would love to keep pushing our way across the country! lol We’d have no problem paying for the storage unit, upkeep, higher insurance, higher cost of travel, luxury amenities, comfortable travel, access to motorcoach resorts…loved having the pusher!! But since unfortunately money does come into play in this department…it wasn’t reasonable for us to keep spending like that. Not right now anyway. Maybe later in the future, we’d love to own a Motorhome again! Or a Super C. Love love loved our Holiday Rambler! favorite RV of them all!

I love the rear kitchen floor plan on the Sportrek however I would do your homework on whether your 3/4 ton can safely tow it. You will be surprise it might not be enough truck for the payload, weight wise you are probably fine it’s the payload you also have to watch. We have a 1 ton diesel and have a 32RLS Alliance Avenue and we are only 150lbs within our payload limit. We were very surprised when we had ours weighed. You will not only want to keep the weight in mind but also the payload when shopping. Enjoyed your video and happy shopping 😊

We went Brinkley 3100, you can get it really close to your price range. Bankston would not get close to the price other dealers were offering. The Z3100 is going to be probably over weight for most 3/4 tons, pin weight loaded is 2800ish. Mines been great, and the one issue I had they let me use an independent shop, and was handled quickly. I’ll agree, Lippert is the weak link, but it is hard to avoid them.

We recently narrowed our search down to a Brinkley and Alliance. We ended up choosing a Brinkley, because it was more premium and ironically less money. You said the roads in Tennessee are bad. Where in TN are you talking about and where are you comparing it to? Of course the roads in and around city centers are not going to be great, but that's common for all/most cities. I have driven in quite a few states and our roads in Tennessee are great! We recently drove our RV through South Carolina and those roads are horrendous.

If it were me I would seriously consider an Arctic Fox or Outdoors RV . They are better made . They build their own chassis in house and have them third party certified. We were in Idaho Falls 2 weeks ago and went to Bish’s RV and got to see an Arctic Fox in the flesh . When we retire we are buying one . The quality is top notch .

He is not a very knowledable sales person didn't know shit as far as I'm concerned. If this is what you do for a living there is no excuse for not learning your products. You were asking him simple stuff he should have known. I personally would have asked for someone else after driving that far to get the I'll check on that answer and get back with you. Frustrating....

Here is what I think....Wife & I were JUST where you guys are now. We appreciate the exact same things you two wanted. Here is where we ended up. A couple of qualifiers first.. One, buy everything KNOWING your gonna sell it some day. The issues with whatever you choose are the same for others. Two. Don't assume Lippert's frames are created equal. That is, each RV maker orders theirs to THEIR specs. So, some brands order a beefier frame than others. Three. Brands that are popular FOR GOOD REASONS, are going to sell for more later. I believe that Alliance does 10x better at making sure what you buy is handled appropriately through their warranty period. I believe that point has been supported by MANY people many times on every forum imaginable. 4. Price, we are EXACTLY in the same $$$$ as you. 5. NEVER buy a current year model in THAT current year. You are potentially a year behind, and the 25's are here NOW. Finally, we decided on an Alliance 32 RLS. It's right up the middle in price and will net you huge $$$$ on selling later. I highly urge you to look at THAT floorpan and see that the frames (made by BAL and LIPPERT) are beefier on the Alliance version and the axles are rated for 13999 and dry weight is 10,800. That's 3000lbs of flexibility. Loaded past normal, you CAN be at 2600lbs of hitch weight. That may or may not be capable on your pickup. We paid $63,400 for an ON ORDER 2025 model. Honestly, be careful falling in love with a unit that simply doesn't sell well for resale. You cannot go wrong with Alliance. Good luck with your decision...

Alliance are only popular due to KZfaqrs and their brand deals. If you truly look deeply at them, they’re slapped together with less than premium materials.

Cargo capacity is comparatively low on the Sporttrek 5th-wheels at roughly 1,700 lbs. Probably not as big a deal for part-timers though unless planning to load it up with solar/lithium/generator....
