I think it's more about people making Demi and her drug addiction a punchline and she's saying anyone can be in her situation that's why the line "I'm your mother, I'm your father I'm the product of the problem".

This was the lead single off of Demi’s pop-punk/rock album Holy Fvck, released in 2022. Since you're starting doing album reactions now I highly recommend it. And if you want to deep dive more into certain songs from the album I recommend: Substance - has a double meaning (addiction and living in a "fake" world where everything and everybody is lacking substance) 29 - about being groomed in a relationship Eat Me feat. Royal & The Serpent - about how you can never please everyone and at the end of the day you just have to be yourself Help Me feat. Dead Sara - a big "fvck you" to the people who think they know what's best for them when they really don't care Dead Friends - about all the friends they've lost to addiction Happy Ending - about depression and hopelessness They had a “funeral” for their pop music to promote the album and drastically changed their style and hair. Demi kind of went back to their roots with this album because they started out more on the rockier side with their first two albums, though they were still on Disney and therefore they were heavily pop influenced. They also re-recorded and released rock versions of some of their biggest hits on an album called Revamped, released last year.
