@@fuzkforyou That's extremely sad. I might have heard something about it before but must have totally forgotten in during all these stressful times. That's a real shame, considering that GSC Game World is one of the worlds finest game developers. And has made a couple of the best games in their respective genre, thinking of Cossacks/American Conquest series and of course the Stalker games. It's gonna be really interesting on the 5 September this year. Too see how S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl fares. It sure has a lot to live up to.

@@Arselpang I never played stalker really but I played the hell out of American conquest. I think the main dev of stalker went there as a volunteer btw. What a loss. These guys made games really worth. A lot of my friends played stalker.

Thanks for the video, now I have completed Impossible difficulty for this mission as well. 😄🥳. Had a feeling destroying the fortress would be the way, but forgot it was possible with a Blockhouse II. Just as an addition, I found on my playthrough that if I put a couple of military units just to the top of our captured Blockhouse, it stopped the endless cannon spam.

1st Alaska Mission in Impossible difficult is so hard that you have to build ASAP the Fortress before the Haida attack you in some seconds with infinite groups. The fortress will catch fire while you have to protect the peasants buildings just to get a chance to build a boat to attack the Haida HQ and stop that infinite madness. A nice reason to have a split screen option in this game, so you can manage 2 different places without stop to watch the other. Then the 2nd mission gets even harder...Same situation but the hordes attack your empty buildings and you still have to protect the Fortress already built...

@@ragebeast3603 Yes, it pushes you to the limit. I can't imagine if it's really possible to beat them without the Pause button to micromanage every chance to not get wrecked.

When Windows went to version 10 I was no longer able to play the game in my PC. they should release it in a Windows 10 ready version . A Continental map could be a nice addition for realistic game play in original historical locations.

this game is one of the hardest rts game ever made. i think mainly because the mechanism of the game itself. friendly fire from your defensive building to your own troops and ai move a lone horseman to get past your blank spot and capture your buildings, then set them all to fire. when invading also, the native cant do shit to western nation cause they have no siege weapon. manual way is to overnumber and rush to garrison-capture enemy fort in stupid way. hundreds will die until just 1 fort get captured successly. i highly think the reason it not so popular because how difficult the game mechanism is. also the economy is weird, no explaination or some statistic on how much resource your troops spent and how much currently being produced. its like blind feeling when manage the economy.

U'r absolutely right. The game gave me wibes of the real life, when u can't control and calculate everything. So u should concentrate on priorities and deal with this mess :)

There is even easier way. You build base near ruins near the coast and fill the ruins in the north. You can survive quite easly there building ship to destroy coast natives then you just build large army and win. Anyway great video as usual. I couldn't beat this map for years but your content inspired me to find new solution.
