I have heard that the exam was really hard last year. Not many people passed so they had to scale the scores up by 25%. Hopefully this year the exam is easy and more like the practice exam questions. But I'm still expecting a little bit harder questions. Check out my Graph Theory video, it should help you out with that topic.

for the first question can we also solve without simplifying to 119? just using gcd(504,385)

Yes you can... But simplifying to 119 will make it easier for you to do the euclidean algorithm (less steps).
