I think, we are the world is USA for Africa. Meaning all are american artist. Then, it doesn't mean that you are ballader to qualify as long as you are a big star at that time. I miss madonna, prince, steven tyler, dennis de young,tom petty,john cougar, tommy shaw, paul stanley, bonnie raitt, stevie nicks, lindsey buckingham bcoz they are big star already during that time.

Excuses, excuses. Madonna was present the night of the AMAs in 1985, same night WATW was recorded. In fact Lionel Ritchie who was hosting the AMAs introduced Madonna as an awards presenter along with Huey Lewis who was invited to the recording. You mean to say Lionel didn't take five minutes of his time to walk up to Madonna and say 'hey do you want to come the recording session?' I don't buy it.

Keep in mind that We Are the World was recorded in 1984. At the time, Madonna had only released one album. It had a couple top 10 hits and was a success, but she wasn’t a superstar yet. At the time, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, The Cars, Van Halen, Chicago, Pat Benatar and John Mellencamp were bigger than Madonna, and they weren’t invited either.

@@saviodesilva7933 LaToya was there because of Michael. And some people were there just because they were at the American Music Awards earlier that night. That’s why they held the recording session that night, because they knew a lot of stars would be nearby for that event. Like Dan Aykroyd, of all people. (!) But the biggest music stars had been invited months before.

For the all time-bulls question, I just dont think Jordan would be that good with another Primary scorer that he has to share the ball with especially for someone like D Rose. Jordan had a primary scorer with Orlando Woolrich when he first joined the league in '84-'85 and Orlando's shot attempts and touches of the basketball in general went down quite a bit as Jordan instantly became the 1st scoring option. Not sure how much Jordan would like the offense being run by Rose either tbh.
