I left the Catholic Church years ago after reading its history but also for denying me entry into the priesthood 62 years ago because my parents were divorced. Every now and then I read that letter of denial However, I commend those young men and women who enter into a religious vocation as you give your entire life to the service of God.

I am Cristian Orthodox and I was once in Montmartre in France on October 31st at night. While resting my soul in the peace of God's house, a few nuns started chanting. Their voices sounded so angelic. Loud enough but in a very gentle manner. Listening to them made me feel safe in a way. I could feel the vanity of our lifestyles and for a moment I could be just a mortal letting go of my burdens while surrendering in God's will.
