I was 8 years old when me and my dad went to this game. We had gone to every home game up to this point. I kid you not this was probably the loudest I have ever heard that stadium.

This video always gives me goosebumps. That might have been the most exciting game I’ve ever been to and I was at every game during the 98 and 99 seasons.

Can someone make a PSA up there to the students to stop saying the chant so fast. I'm not even in school yet, and I know you're supposed to go with the band (granted I'm going to be in the band). Are they confused because the kickoff chant version is fast?

No, they’re not confused. They just lack rhythm. We’ve even gone over it at the Yell practice the night before the game only to screw it up again the next day. 🤦🏾♂️

@@davidmadison9369 Lol I know your comment is 5 years old but coming from a band student whos performed in an NFL stadium, a lot of people don’t realize how much huge stadiums can echo. It sounds like it’s off tempo because the person recording is right next to the band. It takes a second for the sound to reach the nose bleed seats and other far away areas. So to the crowd, they’re chanting right on beat when in reality they’re ever so slightly behind. Of course this is a football game so it doesn’t matter as much but I remember we were taught as band students to listen to the percussion at competitions for tempo instead of listening to the echo. It’s an easy mistake to make
