Thank you for the shoutout!!! I have been knitting for over 40 years so I have lots of scraps and I’m always trying to find ways to use them up. The scrap basket is relatively new and I have recently started it over to make it more sturdy. As for the stain glass throw. I love that blanket and I have to make myself put it down when I start working n it. It has a weird ripple starting in it so I’m going to start a new one to see if I can move up a hook size to get rid of the ripple. For both of these projects I am using a plying technique from spinning to make the yarn triple what it was originally. I look forward to watching you in the future.

Your video was so much fun. I really like videos that have other crafting like knitting, crochet and I would love to see your quilting. I have done over 100 videos and every single time I press start, I feel so uncomfortable. I usually have to stop and start over about 6 times 😂 Why is it so hard???

Your cardigan is just beautiful! I use 9” circulars if I’m knitting a color work sock, but prefer my 40” cable circulars & magic loop for the rest. I have several pair of socks knit from Patons Kroy Sock yarn. It truly is a workhorse of a yarn. I bought multiple skeins of it on clearance at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. I still have some left. That said, I do really enjoy my merino wool socks. I used to love cross-stitching, but gave it up due to carpal tunnel syndrome. I did eventually get surgery to correct it, but by then, my aging eyes found it too difficult to see the stitches well enough to make my projects portable. That is when I finally learned to knit, and decided to make it my sole craft (and have since added crochet).

Hey! I'm still on the fence about the 9-inch circs for socks. I can't knit very fast with them. Those bitty needles. I really like Patons Kroy Sock yarn. I'd buy more of it if the Michael's had a better selection of it. I use magnifier reading glasses when I cross stitch. Otherwise I don't think I'd be able to stitch. If you've ever watched Fat Quarter Shop's floss tube channel, you will hear Kimberly talk about all the cross stitching she does when she's taking her kids to all their activities. She carries all her stuff with her. Magnifier, light, etc. To paraquote her, she doesn't care what she looks like. She had to get stuff done! I love having portable stuff. I try to never be without anything.

Rabbits go down unto their warm burrows in the wild- so Feffer needs a nice quilt to lay on . And a covered box or something to go into when he lays down on that quilt he needs. Feffer has a cute face. Is Feffer a boy rabbit ?

Cutie pie! Rabbit feet are sensitive.. A metal screen floor is hard on paws. Consider a topper of cardboard or hay. Bunnies like baby toys, too.

My mum mentioned this technique to me today (I had a batch of well-developed silkies, only 1 hatched, and the others are dead inside, I know their shells are extremely hard when I crack the unfertilised ones on day 7) I have the second batch of eggs, only two developed well currently, I want to try this, but got two questions: How long do you soak them in lukewarm water? and for how many days? My mum says about 10 minutes each day.. would that work?
@AmniconStudio
@AmniconStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi! We water bathed less than 5 minutes. I'm trying to remember, it was a while ago. I think we went two days, right after lock down time starts. Have you checked your incubator temp and humidity? That could be the reason your chicken embryos stop growing. I recommend a thermometer/hydrometer. If your humidity isn't where it should be you can try adding a sponge, maybe? Good luck with your hatch! 🙂

@@AmniconStudio Thank you! so, you did soak them in water after lockdown, meaning on day 19 and day 20? wow.. I am using Brinsea mini 2 eco this year, it doesn't tell you the humidity, when I calibrated the temp inside, I had a thermometer tell both humidity and temp, it reads only 30% humidity with added water after running for 10 hours. Yes, from my side, I am considering adding cutted tower strips and sponge this time. (at the same time, I sent a msg asking the Brinsea seller how to increase humidity, hope to get an answer back on time. I thought just following Brinsea's instruction would be fine, no need to worry about humidity, life proved me wrong. :( ) Thank you for replying and the good luck you sent over, do need some.. :)

Doenst this drown the chick?
@AmniconStudio
@AmniconStudio 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't. :-) It just softens the shell up a bit and makes easier for the chick to break the shell and hatch out.

I really like the way the hats are turning out. I'm not a pom pom person, but I might have to saunter over to the local Hobby Lobby and see what they have just for something different. I made so many sockhead hats for my girls that perhaps it's time for a different style, this time with poms! LOL!
@AmniconStudio

I don't always do poms, but some hat styles just scream "Give me a pom!" to me. :-). I bought some pom pom makers last year. I made some for little baby hats. They turned out so adorable. I do wish my Hobbly Lobby was closer. Every yarn I've used, except their dishcloth cotton, I've really liked working with.
