The reasoning behind you guys skipping the DLC case is extremely flawed. 1. Marlon Rimes isn't a racist depiction in the slightest. He is slightly dark-skinned and happens to enjoy rap. That's not his entire character though. He has a LOT more depth. (Even then, the whole case is music-themed, so a character liking rap isn't that out of place.) 2. Marlon isn't even black. Like the rest of the cast, he's supposed to be Japanese. He just has a slightly darker shade of skin. In that way, it's sort of like how some Italians can look black-passing. 3. Wocky used infinitely more slang than Marlon and you guys were perfectly fine with that. Frankly, you guys omitting an ENTIRE case because you saw one character and felt they were 'too black' is inherently racist itself. I sincerely hope you reconsider things, especially since a TON of people in the fandom see Turnabout Reclaimed as one of the best cases in the series.

Did you guys forget to the DLC case before this one? Or did you decide not to do it after all? I don't think I saw where you guys addressed it. Either way, since it was skipped, I'll just explain: the DLC case is the "case" where Phoenix Wright gets his badge back. THEN this case happens, which makes more sense (since he now has his badge and has had a case, which makes him famous again).

5-3 is a GREAT example that AJ personality Phoenix hasn’t gone ANYWHERE and his story is continuing from where he left off trying to come to terms with all the crazy crap he had to go through in 4-4. He treats Athena mildly well but ALWAYS gives crap for Apollo. And you can see the gears in his head turning about forged scenes. And in this world he made a bluff with the better part of a decade to bring Kristoph down and humiliate him for the country to see. And a LOT of what the Dark Age is doing is an expansion of consequences for what Kristoph and Phoenix did going at each other’s throats. And it’s no accident that the character appearing next time is appearing. So to all you people saying AJ and DD are not connected even with the change of writers, they are VERY connected. But maybe I wouldn’t have there be…3.5 flashback cases after the intro to confuse that.
