Had tix to see them tonight at Wolf Trap in Virginia but it was like 100 degrees out today and the air quality was at 60 so I stayed home. Wolf Trap almost never cancels so it's frustrating to not be reimbursed when if it was a normal night weather-wise I'd be there. Saw them once in the 90s in Boston it was a free show. Cool to see them again here on my AR glasses, made up for missing out tonight. Thanks for uploading the full thing!

Thanks for posting such a well made video of the whole set. Longtime fan, saw them a bunch in the early days (HORDE tour mid '90's) & over the decades (Charles Ives pavilion in Danbury circa 2010 was a great show at a great venue) have several of their cd's (the one with the pig on the cover for sure). Saw them last summer at Westville, great show then too. Had other commitments last weekend or woulda been there. Thanks again!!!

The video is a touch misleading - during the first set that was recorded wide more people were seated behind me and to my left, and during the second set people stacked the “pit” area a bit more. But also you’re 100% correct, there were maybe 200 people which isn’t nearly enough, especially for only a $10 cover. Marcomm guy myself, I do wish they marketed a bit better. Hopefully as they grow they’ll have more cash for that!

Unfortunately, very weak female vocals with serious pitch problems that make it nearly impossible to enjoy this performance. Maybe nerves, but still needs a LOT of work. Too bad, as the level of musicianship is very good overall.

Listen to "Live in the Red Room - Feel This Way", you'll get a much different impression of the singer. Agreed this doesn't do her any favours, she's actually very good.
@Brendon-Holland6 ай бұрын
I don’t disagree with you @jrod1077, that was kind of my impression as well. They’re young and talented, and have plenty of room to grow as well.
@jrod10776 ай бұрын
@@bertspeggly4428 Thanks for the suggestion. I listened to the Red Room track and am convinced that the vocal must have gone through some form of auto-tune processing. Think about it...the Boston gig was on 12/8/2023 and the Red Room recording is from March 11, 2023 or thereabouts. You don't go from having little or no pitch problems to basically singing nothing in tune over the course of a few months. That Red Room recording was mixed and mastered, so again, auto-tune is the only plausible explanation. There is an old adage that if you cannot play in tune and in time, you probably won't find much work in this business. I agree with @brendon-holland that they have youth on their side and ample opportunities for growth.

I was there! Thanks for the upload!!!! I only "discovered" them when this gig was announced a few weeks prior. Right up my alley - the jamming, the Euro Prog esque songs & singing. "Where Have They Been All My Life" Also Kudo's for Arch St for bringing in so many great new & upcoming bands in the loose "jamband" category. Even better that I'm a mere 16 miles away! I realize crowds are thinner for this sort of "esoteric" fare vs "party bands" or even worse cookie cutter Grateful Dead cover bands.
