I was born in Chiapas and grew up in the jungle. In our culture. Children also work to learn to survive. There is confusion among visitors when they see the indigenous people barefoot or dirty. Since they are not necessarily poor. since they have to cross places with a lot of mud. It rains a lot in the jungle. Also the cars get stuck and they have to get out to help and they get dirty. Then in the city. The indigenous people enjoy walking barefoot. since they feel the freedom of not having their feet imprisoned by shoes.
@gooly219 ай бұрын
I completely agree with you. We, as visitors to places different from our culture, sometimes misunderstand it. I have visited other places where Western culture has not reached. I think we should learn a lot from them. I assume you are referring to the photo of the barefoot woman at the end of the video. I photographed her not out of disdain, God forbid, but because I admire people who can walk barefoot everywhere. Unfortunately, I can't even go barefoot in my own house. I'm sorry if the photo was misunderstood. My apologies for this.

@@gooly21 No Please. You're fine. I wanted to explain this. As a Mayan descendant. Since even The Mexicans of the city. They also confuse this practice with bare feet or dirty clothes. But since it is a taboo topic. Almost no one has the courage or knowledge to clarify and explain it. But since I am original from that place. That's why I didn't want to miss this good opportunity. God bless you.

at this point I've seen so many horror short films mimicking this kind of camera effect that I wouldn't have been suprised if the building suddenly came alive or something. I mean it looks so omnious from afar with its disks that look like eyes!

Manhattan just isn't the same post-9/11. Granted, the erection of the current One World Trade Center is nice, but it pails in comparison to the original twin towers. IMO, they should have erected something architecturally and aesthetically similar to the original twins at the current 1 WTC area, even with the site of the original twins designated as a memorial.
